Together, the kids went down just below the boardwalk. They played in the sand, attempted making a raft from old wooden planks, and more. Eventually, the kids stopped when they heard some amazing music coming from up on the boardwalk.
"Woah, what is that heavenly beat?" Dewey said.
"It sounds like some odd combo of nearly everything popular, and I love it for some reason." Louie replied.
"Maybe we should go up and investigate! There's a ledge that we can climb on!" Webby pointed to a giant pile of sand leading up to the boardwalk.
"I don't know, Webby. It's getting kind of late and-" Huey started.
"Come on, guys! It'll be an adventure!" She said.
"Fine. But just one peek." Huey finally caved in. Together the kids climbed up the giant mound of sand and onto the wooden planks of the Duckburg boardwalk. And when they saw the source of the music, they gasped.
On the stage was a 12-year old duckling strumming a guitar and singing. A fairly large crowd was gathering around the stage. The kids slipped their way through to the front where they heard her singing,
D-D-D-D DANGER, LURKS BEHIND YOU! THERE'S A STRANGER OUT TO FIND YOU! WHAT TO DO, JUST GRAB ONTO SOME DUCKTALES!
The kids knew this song fairly well, and everyone sang along all the way to the end. She said, "Thank you, everyone! My name is (y/n), thank you and goodnight!" Everyone was clapping and cheering as she left the stage.
"Oooh! We should go meet her!" Webby exclaimed .
"Webby, please-" The triplets started, but it was too late. She strode on over where the young duck was getting her guitar packed up.
Your POV
As I was packing up from another day of performing, I saw a young, 10-year old duck come running towards me backstage. "Oh, wow! You were amazing!" she said. She was really enthusiastic and hyper.
"Why thank you so much!" I said. "I just do this for fun and so my family can get a little bit extra money. We moved to Duckburg a few weeks ago. My name's (y/n.)"
"Hi! I'm Webby!" She said. A few boys started coming over to us as well. Each one was dressed in a different color. It was kind of cute!
"Webby, please. We really should be-" The blue one started, but Webby cut him off.
"(Y/n), meet Huey, Dewey, and Louie Duck," She said.
"Sweet! I love the outfits!" I said.
"Were those diatonic chords you were using?" Asked the red one. He seemed pretty smart.
"Actually, yes. I've taken about two years of guitar lessons." I replied.
"I wish I knew how to play guitar," he said. "But then again, being a cellist in the Junior Woodchuck Philharmonic orchestra was a treat enough."
"Wait, you're a junior woodchuck?" I asked.
"Yes, a senior," He replied.
"That's awesome! I used to be a junior woodchuck!" I said.
"Wait, why are you not anymore?" He asked.
"Oh. I got all the badges," I replied. Everyone laughed when his jaw dropped.
"You're telling me that you got all 450 badges?!" He gaped.
"Yup," I said, holding my head up high and proud. "I also have been taught all types of martial arts by my parents to defend myself."
"Oh! My granny trained me as well!" Webby exclaimed. "Hey! You should come over and have dinner with us tonight!"
"Um, I'll text my parents and see if I can stay out later. They kinda have a strict curfew," I replied.
"Um, give us a second," The green one said. Together the four of them all huddled up while I called them.
"Hi, Mom? Dad? Is it okay if I can stay out a little later tonight? I got invited to a friend's house for dinner," I said.
"Invited for dinner? But you don't have any friends in Duckburg yet!" My mom's voice rang out.
"I know. I made some on the boardwalk today. Please? I promise I'll be back by 8 at the latest," I pleaded.
"Alright. But no later than 8. Got it?" She said.
"Got it. Love you, Mom," I replied.
Louie's POV
"Webby please! We can't just invite a girl you've known for five minutes over to dinner!" I said.
"Yeah, and what if she turns out like Lena again?" Dewey chimed in.
"Come on, guys, please! She seems really nice," Webby said.
"Yeah. Seems very nice," I replied. But then I realized I set her off. She was looking at her friendship bracelet. Tears were welling up in her eyes. I looked at Dewey. The eyes were just too powerful! "Ugh! Fine! We can have her over for dinner, but just for tonight!" I said.
"Oh, Louie you're the best!" She hugged me.
"Yeah. I know," I replied.
Your POV
The kids approached me again. "You can come to our house for dinner, but it's a long walk. Do you think you can handle it?" Louie said. Webby elbow-butted him. It was clear that he was the conman of the group.
"I've had 10 years of martial arts training. I'm sure I can handle a little walk, don't you think?" I had him fiddling with his sleeves.
"Come on everyone! To adventure!" Huey exclaimed. And together, we climbed off the boardwalk, it being hard with my guitar, and began our trek to their house.
