(Y/N) sat on the end of her bed, eyes droopy as she scrolled through her phone. Nothing was happening in her life, except for small meaningless outings she would have with her friends.
It was summer break, and just after this weekend, school would be back and running again. It was a shame she didn't do more during the summer, but she was limited.
It was Friday, and luckily she hadn't planned anything for that weekend. She didn't want to go out. It would just be another useless date where nothing meaningful actually happened. Sure it meant something for the others, but to her, it meant jack shit.
She said and leaned back on her bed, a small sigh leaving her mouth as the back of her head met the fluffy pillow under her. She held her phone, being weary to not let it fall onto her face, and began to scroll through Yumblr.
She saw the usual, a few fan-arts followed by irrelevant posts ranting about anything and everything. Typical.
As she was about to log off for the day, she came across a post that caught her eye.
" Male Dere types and their meaning "
"Male Dere types? The hell?" She clicked on the post, finding a small and kind introduction before a list continued beyond it.
Tsundere - The tsundere is one of the most popular types. They switch between a tsun (harsh) state and dere (love struck) state. You'll know if a character is tsundere if they keep saying "baka" or they try to cover up a good deed.
"Oh, so it's isn't male dere types. It's just Dere types in general." She rolled her eyes but continued to read the post. You know, see if there's anything she didn't know about.
Dandere - Quiet, shy, and harmless. Dandere characters typically wear glasses and are always buried in books. However, they can become talkative when around their love interest.
Kuudere - Emotionless, cold, and distant. On the rare occasional that a kuudere does speak, they tend to be very blunt and cynical. A blank face and a flat voice is a must. Despite their icy nature, kuudere characters are capable of caring and forming romantic bonds.
Deredere - The most cheeful, hyper, and loving of the "-dere" archetypes. Deredere characters are constantly smothering their love interests with affection.
(Y/N) rolled her eyes. She already knew all of these. She's been on the internet before. She decided to read one more before logging of.
Yandere - Yandere characters are really sweet on the outside. They range from being cheerful and friends with others, or can be really shy. A bond with the main character will form quickly. However, their friendly nature masks a dark side. Yandere characters are very possessive and controlling. Most will kill the people around their love interest or will isolate them from society. They do not take rejection well (which has a 90% chance of happening).
(Y/N) rose an eyebrow. Yandere? She's never heard of one. She's always been distant from inappropriate anime, not wanting to see anything sexual. That goes for gory anime as well. But, a Yandere sounds cool.
She smiled and began to research on the Dere type, becoming fascinated by the idea of a love-sick character in an anime. However, she sure as hell knew she wouldn't watch it. It's too much for her.
She turned off her phone after a while of flappering around sites about the Dere type, and went to bed.

Ayato grumbled, knowing school would be back in session just after this weekend. He sighed, and remembered of what his mother had always told him. "Some day, you will find the special girl who will fill the emptiness in you."
He let out another heavy breathe, before sitting up in his bed. He already felt like he was doomed. He dealt with a year of Akademi already, and none of the girls were stand out. All of them were plain and boring.
He pinched the bridge of his nose, and prayed. Maybe he missed someone? Maybe there will be new students?
I just want to fucking feel for once.
He always believed that if he used lots of profanity, he would be able to show the emotion of anger. Didn't work.
He picked up his phone and went to the school website. He looked through the portraits of a few people in school. Only the girls, at least.
He found himself stopping at a picture of a specific girl, eyes widening at the portrait.
Her eyes were closed, and she was holding up her right hand doing peace signs. Ayato thought she might just be another bully, but the bio Info-Kun had said something different.
"A student who moved to America when she was young, and has moved back to Japan. She usually spends her time with her childhood friend Osano Najimi."
He sat up, beginning to look more in depth about the girl. (Y/N) (L/N). She seemed outgoing and extroverted, making Ayato think.
'should I actually talk to her this year?'
He sighed and looked at her portrait again. He didn't even know if she was the one. But he would find out on Monday.
