He could feel his aura getting lower and lower by the second. Yet he wasn't able to move from his position. He couldn't look away. This boy looked at him with pure killing intent, driven to kill him with his semblance. Alistor was at Riza's side, doing his best to help her while Jaune was on his way. Ren and Nora covered them as they escorted their leader and healer.

" Who are you to defy me?" Salem asked the violet eyes girl that had killed the rather complicated, evolved beowolf that the witch had reserved for Ozpin. Ozpin stood up, supported by his cane and controlled his breathing. He was just as surprised to see her here as anyone else was. She stood tall, her violet eyes scanning the room. " Well, for the most part, I wanted to meet you. But not with him." She glared at the young man behind her. " You have a gift, to control the creatures of the dark. Much like mine. I can make use of you, anything you want in exchange of your service." She offered with a smile.

" You have a lovely smile, I have to admit. Especially for the little creatures you created." Veena smiled gently at her. " It's warm." She looked to her side and sighed. " Just one problem." Salem looked at her carefully as her smile fell. " You sound just like your father."

" How dare you!" Both old souls braced themselves as the windows burst and pieces of glass clattered to the ground. " What makes you think you know so much about me? Who told you?!" She shrieked as she fired a red blast of energy. Veena blocked it with a blue burst of magic, stunning Salem.

" Bayang." She said quickly and placed her lips on the black flute. Salem felt the world fade away and soon a new world materialized beneath her. " What you want, will never make you satisfied, Princess." She heard the voice of an older woman say.

She recognized the building almost instantly, had not set foot or seen the dreaded castle ever since she was rescued. Only she wasn't in her tower,  she was outside. She'd have to admit that it looked quite grand from there. A figure walked up next to her, Ozma. He was looking for a challenge and eager to take on the task of rescuing the girl in the tower.

" This is it." He said to himself as he looked upon the tower. " There's a girl up there who needs to be free."

" And a selfish king known as her father." Another voice spoke to him. They both turn to see the elder warrior who had come with him. Ozma seemed a bit nervous and rather upset by her presence. " Ozma." She regarded him lightly.

" Lady Vienna Sparrow. I didn't expect for you to actually come." He told her. " Isn't rescuing princesses much too 'insignificant' of a task for the greatest warrior of our time?"

" Watch your tongue, boy." She warned him with her violet eyes. " I'll deal with the king while you can go on your merry way and rescue your dear princess." They parted ways and the view changed the into the throne room where her father stood proudly and arrogantly on his throne with a dozen guards by his side. It surprised her how he spoke out his offer was similar to hers. " No." She answered simply before going into battle. Salem shook her head and felt her anger rise, she refused to have any likeness to the cruel man. She glanced outside and saw herself with Ozma, lost in each other's eyes and hands held. " So you're in love.." Vienna said as the view changed once more and she was talking to Ozma.

" Yes, we are." He said smiling simply. Vienna shrugged and turned to walk away, not before warning.

" Be careful, she is her father's daughter. But fortunately, I sense both danger and beauty in her. Good bye, Ozma." He asked her why did she not accept him as her apprentice, she refused to answer and left without another word. She walked towards Salem and her image changed back to the girl they knew presently. " That's how I know, Princess." Veena told her with an indifferent look on her face.

" You..." Salem glared deeply into those violet eyes.

" I did what I had to. I've dealt with him and I have to deal with you. What happened to you? You were such a lovely girl." Veena said as her face softened. " The prettiest smile I've ever seen, strong and compassionate. But now I see, you're obsessed, full of hate for this life. You're not the only one who's been waiting to just die already." The view changed several times, showcasing Ozma's reincarnations that we're crying, drunk and lost of hope. It was a pitiful sight. On one life, he just sat there, unmoving and let himself starve to death. " This is sad. As you know, he eventually gave in to his duties and focused on the task given to him." The next images showed how he picked himself up and found the relics. " And as for me, I had my own way of achieving peace." Her lives as Natrah, Yasa and Aris unfolded. " I became an example and millions followed in their own way. You don't have anything else to do, do you?" She said turning to Salem. " You could've just give him the peace he wanted for humanity but instead you set on to destroy each of his attempts. And for what? Your own sick entertainment? This has gone on far enough, Salem. If we achieve peace and bring back the gods we can ask for the death we all longed for."

" You want to know what happened to me?" She began, looking at Veena in the eyes. " Why don't I show you?" The air rushed out of her as Salem somehow broke out of her trance and hit her with a blast. She landed roughly, Harbinger helped to stop her from skidding. " I'll show you exactly what it feels like." A grimm arm sprang from the pool behind her and grabbed her shoulder, catching her off guard and pulling her into the pool.

" Regen-" The black gauntlets battled against the grimm arm as it held onto Harbinger's handle on the edge of the pool. Two more arms grabbed her and her head was under the black much in seconds.
