What should of been

Chapter one

I'm sitting in the living room waiting for Peeta. It's around 1 in the morning and he hasn't come home, again. Ever since Prim, our daughter, was born he has started to drink with Haymitch. Why you might ask, we'll I don't really know. But I'm guessing it has to do with me calling her Prim in the first place. She looked so much like my sister, and he saw it too.

It started out as a once a month thing but quickly turned into an everyday thing.

Finally Peeta arrives home but he's not alone, he's with...with another woman. And it doesn't look like they're just friends it looks like their way past that stage. I don't think he notices me sitting on the love seat under the window because before he even takes his coat off he's kissing her. But it's not quick peck on the lips, no it's a full on make out session. She slowly takes his coat off while they make their way to the bigger couch in the living room. I'm just sitting there watching them not able doing anything. Until it hits me, MY FIANCÉ IS CHEATING ON ME. I quickly clear my throat before it goes any farther.

They stop and look at me and both their faces go pale as if they've seen a ghost. "Wh-what are you doing here Katniss I thought you were visiting your mom for the week" says Peeta. "I felt homesick so I decided to come home but I guess I should of stayed there" he's quiet for a few minutes before he starts to apologize, "I'm so sorry Katniss I thought you weren't coming home until Monday and..." I stop him before he can continue. "So what your saying is that your making out with...her because I wasn't here?" "Please Peeta make up a better excuse", before he can answer I walk away from them and go to my room
