Yoongi had just opened a can of soda. No one was in the house, except for Jungkook, probably having a shower. He could enjoy the silence for a bit, a blanket on his shoulder, and the peaceful view of out the window made of drops continuously falling on the ground and on the window pane. He sipped the drink, and stared blankly at the almost empty streets. "Time to take a nap" he thought, like everytime he realized he was going to get somewhat moody. He didn't even know why. He just laid down on the couch and put the warm blanket on him. He liked that sensation so much, that he often thought that would be his secret afterlife dream: be covered by something warm, eyes shut and a permanent black view, and rain. Or some pretty song lulling his non-existent ears. But hush! Fuck off the thoughts. He just wanted to take a quiet nap. No mind full of shit or philosophies.
A lot of work for the new album had to be done. Yoongi spent almost every day in his studio, entering the shared living room once in a while, and with heavy eye bags when he slept too little. Sometimes he enjoyed to chat with his friends in those moments, particularly happy when it happened to be Taehyung. At the beginning he didn't know why. He didn't know why he was that happy by Taehyung's side, or why he kept smiling even when he thought he was too worn out for that, or why he unconsciously tried to get closer to him on the couch, until one day he realized.
When Taehyung moved back and forth with his silent steps and a warm cup of tea in his hands, searching for a good spot to watch the rain, snow or sun outside, Yoongi just couldn't help watching him carefully in all his movements. Every single time he also managed not to smile too brightly back at him when his boxy smile announced loudly "hey Yoongi ah, be happy buddy!". That was it: Yoongi liked his presence because it felt warm, so warm, he finally thought he found a simulacrum of what was called quietness. And he definitely loved quietness. It seemed quite a paradox to Yoongi though. He was well aware, in fact, that Taehyung was kind of an hurricane, and that's why he often became thoughtful about how was even possible that Taehyung were an emblem of tranquillity for him. This sensation made Taehyung special for him.
It was a Sunday morning. That day Yoongi was the last got out of the bed, because the day before he really pushed himself into work until late time. He miraculously reached the fridge to take some food and eat it on the couch, with hair all messy. Taehyung arrived behind him soon. He smelled like shampoo and shower gel, and the tips of his hair were still wet from the shower. The younger boy without hesitation and without even tell his hyung good morning, went to adjust yoongi's blonde hair with his fresh ends, making him startled a little. "Oh, it's you". Yoongi said after he had realized who it was. So Taehyung sat on the couch next to him and rested his head on Yoongi's shoulder "goodmorning hyung, I'm so sleepy". Yoongi felt a strange warmth on his shoulder, and an (un)expected warmth in his heart when he heard his raspy and at the same time tender voice. That day he had to write some lyrics for Taehyung's part, while Namjoon was going to fix the remainders. In that precise moment he told himself he should have written something so smooth for his voice that he himself would have been able to melt, and still thoughtful, he munched the food he had taken for himself. "Did you already have breakfast?" Yoongi asked absentmindedly. "Yeah" he replied, his head still on the warm spot he had chosen. "What are you doing this morning hyung? You have such eyebags that I'm sure you need some rest." He said eyeing in front of himself. "I'm fine. You don't have to worry. It's always like this, for every new album and comeback" he replied calmly. "I know but..." he didn't know how to continue, just because he knew how much work was important, not just for Yoongi, but for all of them. Probably for all the Koreans. Yoongi smiled unperceivably. Taehyung was so cute and tender, he really wanted to hug him. He was sure it would have relieved his stress. "Come" he said, getting further from him just to open his arms a little bit. He said it as if it was Taehyung who needed an hug, and he thought he was a genius for having concealed his own will that way. Taehyung just seconded him. He knew how much Yoongi could need a hug but he was just too proud to ask for one.
