Honey's Lost Bunny

The Search

In the halls of Ouran High School the only sounds that could be heard were the sound of footsteps running and the small cries of a young boy. The closer and closer the boy got to the abandoned music room on the top floor, the more desperate his cries became. He pounded on the door over and over screaming for one of the people he believed to be in there.

"Mori-kun!!!" The young boy cried out as he pounded harder and harder on the door.

Soon a tall man with black hair and expressionless eyes opened the door and picked him up into his arms, wiping his tears away. "What's wrong with you Honey?" He asked, trying to calm him down.

"I can't find him!" Honey cried, holding onto him tightly.

"You can't find who?" Mori asked as he looked at the young boy and quickly realized the usual stuffed rabbit he carried around wasn't with him.

Hoisting the young boy onto his shoulders, Mori started helping him search for his bunny. "Honey, where did you have your rabbit last?"

"I don't remember," Honey said, wiping his eyes and trying not to start crying again. "I thought he was in my room but I searched and I couldn't find him! I know I had him when I was asleep, but when i woke up he was gone!"

"Did you have him after you woke up?" Mori asked as he looked around the music room. "Maybe you brought him in here and sat him down somewhere?"

They overturned pillows and pulled couch cushions loose, checking all possible places for the lost friend. Honey was beginning to lose hope and slumped over, leaning his head on Mori's. "We'll never find my bunny!"

"Yes we will," Mori said with a slight smile. "There's one place we haven't looked yet."

Honey was puzzled when they walked out of the music room and into his bedroom. "I already looked here, he's not in my room!"

"I think he might be," Mori said as he sat Honey down and started moving the mattress of the bed. Before long he had it pulled back just enough to see a plushie ear sticking out.

"My Bunny!!!" Honey said, jumping on the bed and grabbing him. He hugged the bunny close and then hugged Mori even closer. "Thank you Mori-Kun!!! I love you!"

Mori smiled and hugged the little boy back, kissing his forehead. "I love you too, Honey."
