35. Humiliated (Fluff/Angst)

Warnings: This is an omegaverse! Keith is an Omega and Lance is the alpha!

Now guys, you need to understand that this one-shot has a lot of emotions, and it may go to direction that you may not like but I hope you enjoy.

Today is the day, Lance and Keith are going to get married. The day, the two are going to confirm that their love is eternal and will last forever. Keith is fixing his tux and making sure none of his hair is really frizzy, he looks at himself in the mirror to see a man who's all dolled up for wedding. He smiles and part of his bridal party walk in all smiling, except for Adam, who's got a frown on his face. "Is there something wrong with the way I look?" Keith asks hesitantly. Adam goes wide eyed before shaking his head no, "No Keith! You look amazing! Like a prince!" Adam smiles and Keith lets out a breath of relief. "I barely got any sleep last night! I'm so nervous!" Keith chuckles before turning to the mirror one last time. "Keith, can I talk to you outside?" Adam asks softly, the other three go quiet. Allura, Pidge, Matt and Shiro watch the two go outside to the gazebo from the window.

"What's up Adam." Keith smiles while looking out toward the Forrest. "I don't know how to put this lightly so I'm just gonna say it." Adam says before closing his eyes and taking a breath before opening them once again, "Lance isn't coming." Keith's eyes widen, "W-What?" Adam hangs his head. "What do you mean he's not coming?" Adam sees tears beginning to form around Keith eyes and pulls him into a hug. "Coran said he was out and gone with his things before he even woke up." Adam says and Keith just collapses into his arms and sobs. Shiro walks up slowly to the two and brings the two into a hug, caressing Keith's hair. "W-What am I-I going to d-do?" Keith sobs loudly, "You're gonna try and move on..." Shiro whispers, Adam looks up to his mate. "H-How can I?" Keith tries to pull himself together. "He and I are bonded for life!" Keith has more tears going down his cheeks.

"Lance left me and our baby behind." Keith breaks down and collapses to the ground, he tried his best to control his emotions all day today, didn't want to cause stress to the baby. He was gonna wait till today to tell Lance, since he found out he was pregnant two days ago. Shiro and Adam bend down to see if Keith is okay, he's unconscious and Shiro goes runs for help and to call 9-1-1.

The two sit beside the hospital bed with their heads hanging, being so upset and disappointed about Lance. Shiro punched the wall in anger, Lance left and broke the promise Shiro and him made.

To never hurt Keith.

Lance and Shiro had a long talk before him and Keith bonded. Since Keith doesn't have parents, Lance wanted to do what was right, go to Keith's brother for permission to mate with his younger sibling. Shiro gave him permission and they made that promise then and there. Shiro was definitely going to attack Lance if he ever returns.

"Did he tell you about the baby?" Adam asks quietly. Shiro sighs and moves to look at the ceiling while leaning into his chair. "I don't think he told anyone." Shiro says in defeat, Keith begins to move in his sleep, his body can sense someone coming near. Shiro hears and smells someone coming near to the room. When the door opens and reveals that it's just Lance's mother they all relax.

"Mrs. McClain, nice to see you." She looks over to Keith who's still unconscious and sighs. "My boy sure knows how to break a heart," She turns to Shiro, "Is he okay?" Shiro just sighs and shakes his head. "No, he took it really badly." Shiro walks towards Keith's side and she watches him. "Keith's pregnant, he didn't tell anyone yet either." Rosa's eyes widen and she begins to tear up. "I wanted to see how he was doing, tell him he has my full support and if he needs help tell him to come to me." Shiro nods and Adam sighs.

"Shiro, if he ever returns, don't you dare attack Lance." Shiro turns swiftly with a confused frown. "Why not?! Lance deserves it!" He whisper-yells and Adam shakes his head "It won't be good for Keith or the child." Shiro growls and goes into alpha mode and Adam quickly stands up to be right in his face. "You will listen to your omega's orders Shiro, you know I can cut you off." Adam growls back and Shiro begins to calm down. "Anyways, we don't know Lance's side of the story. We know he loved Keith and if he knew Keith was pregnant he wouldn't of left, Lance loves children, so there must of been a good reason why he just upped and left." Adam tries to reason with Shiro's temper. Shiro takes in a breath but nods and agrees with his mate. "Now, I'll stay here with Keith, you go home to our own child." Shiro smiles but nods, "Gotta say I miss our daughter, we spent so much time preparing for the wedding we didn't spend a lot of time with Darcy." Adam smile but nods. "Now go, Keith might feel uncomfortable with an Alpha around when he wakes up." Shiro nods and understands.
