New Girl

Diana sat in her new classroom quietly with her earbuds in her ears. She's been here for a few weeks and still found herself by alone. She felt the seat next to her move. From the corner of her eye she saw a girl take a seat next to her.  She found it a little odd a boy usually sits next to her not a girl.

Diana felt a tap on her shoulder and she turned to look at the girl who started to talk to her. Diana took an earbud and stopped the girl mid-sentence, "I'm sorry I didn't hear the first part. What did you say?" Diana asked quietly.

"It's fine. I was just introducing myself. I'm Chaewon I'm from class A1 you might not know me but I was wondering what you got in the school play?" She asked with a smile that was soft.

The school play happened every year with the graduating class. However this year the student body wanted to change it up and make the males act the females parts and females act the males parts.
Diana found it odd that this girl who didn't even know her was asking what her role was. She was a little hesitant, "I'm a servant." Diana said quietly before nodding not only to confirm it with Chaewon but herself.

With that Chaewon stood up that and put her hand out, "I think you deserve the main role." She said happily, "Lets be friends ok? Even though we're in different classes except theatre let's hang out."

Diana was surprised by the sudden invite of being 'friends'. She gave a little nod and shook Chaewon's hand before letting it go a little too fast. Chaewon just smiled and waved goodbye before skipping out of class.

Diana sat there confused by what just happened. She could never take the main role. She overheard the kids in her class talking about a girl from A1 named Na June who said she was perfect for the role. June had long black hair that was always tied into a high ponytail, she was tall, had nice skin, perfect smile, everything. Diana shook her head almost laughing at the fact Chaewon said she should've gotten the main role, Romeo.

"Hey, Diana." A males voice said before taking a seat. Diana turned to look at Jaemin. His pink hair was shaggy and in his way of his sight. Diana gave a little smile, "Hi." She turned back to the front of classroom where Mr.Kim started to speak.

Diana sat in the back of the theater room with her bookbag taking the seat next to her. She was looking at her script she had gotten the other day and was reacting her lines quietly to herself.

"Hey, new girl right?"

Diana looked up to find Na June standing in front of her. She gave a nod, "Yeah I am.."

"I'm June. You wanna switch parts? I'm Romeo but I'm not really feeling the...part?" June said with a slight shrug and took her script out from under her arm.

"Um.. I mean if you want to change parts we can." Diana said slowly to June. Why would someone who has such a big want to change part with someone who has such a little part?

"But I'm a servant. I'm not sure-"

"Oh it's ok! I'm fine with anything at this point!" June said with a wink before handing Diana her script.

"Oh-ok." Diana handed her 1 page script before being left with a whole book.

She wanted to object but June was already walking away. Diana sighed quietly and flipped through the script. 'Great' she thought to herself.
