FrostBite: chapter one

I haven't spoken to anyone in over two hundred years. Not even my two elder brothers, they wouldn't understand. To clear things up for you I'm a vampire, six hundred and thirty four years and counting. My brothers are only about two hundred years older than me, they were so happy when I was born they said it was the best birthday gift they could ask for, they always wanted a sister who they would protect, love and care for.

Travis has light and I mean light short brown hair,very tall and well built. Steve is also tall and well build but his hair is dirty blonde. As for me well am a little shorter than my brothers, I have long curly dark brown hair, my brothers claim I'm to skinny but I'm just as I what to be. Oh I forgot to mention that we all have the same eyes, dark hazelnut brown with a hint of gold.

We were all born as vampires. P.S. Everything in the movies are wrong.
We can walk in sunlight and garlic,mirrors,coffins,crosses and running water is all fake..but something are true we are unnaturally fast, we have quite reflexes, we have better sight,smell and hearing. Some of us have special gifts, Travis can hypnotize people, Steve can make you feel things like pain, up to the point when it feels like your skull is splitting in two. Me, well I have the ability to camouflage. We have fangs but keep them hidden and yes we do need to drink blood, Steve and Travis drink human blood I prefer animal blood.

Right know we are living in a littel town called River's Edge. It rains a lot and there is a small forest at the edge of town which is where I go to do my feeding. It's quite funny I'm looking at the dark green pine trees and in the shadow you get the feeling of something watching you, I love it, it's kind of nice being scared of something even when you know you are one of the most dangerous things on the planet. We are currently living in our old family mansion. We were all born here, we move around a lot so people don't notice that we don't age as fast as humans do.

I removed my gaze from the forest to the room I was sitting in.
I can't believe it was exactly the way I left it last time I was here.

From were I am sitting in on my window bench I could see most of my room. Two old wood hand crafted oak doors with crafted pictures of the forest. My king sized bed push against the one side of my room full of different sizes and shapes of  black and gray pillows and a big soft dovay with dark grey curtains connected to the top of it. Next to it was my personal stash of book and movies. And connect to my room was my big private bathroom.

"Skylar get you tiny little ass down hear now, we're going to be late." I heard Steve whining at me from downstairs.

A small smile tugged on my lips, I walked over put my laptop in my bag and grabbing my phone. I took one last look in the mirror, today I have on my black skinny jeans and Travis's over sized white T-shirt which I stole and my black hoodie and trainer.

After making should I look okey I head down stairs to the kitchen to where my brothers would be stuffing their face with the Krispy Kreme doughnuts I bought yesterday. I sware one of these days I am going to kill both of them, not really.

Steve and Travis's heads snapped over to were I was standing.

"Hey Sky, thanks for the donuts they were delicious."Travis teased.

I groaned inward and roles my eyes at  them. As I started turning to go grab my keys,Steve quickly spead over to me standing in my way, stopping me from getting my keys.

"Sky me and Travis are worried about you,you haven't talked to us or anyone in two hundred years." Steve sighed. "please" he said in a soft voice."please just talk to us Skylar...even if it is one word just...just talk to us."

I looked up and caught his eyes, he looked broken like he was missing something... like me, his little sister.
I signed, looking down again. I tried to walk passed him to leave but he kept blocking my path. Okey now I was getting pissed off. My dark brown hazelnut eyes started to turn blood red. I quickly pinned him on the floor. I may be smaller than my brothers but I was faster. His eyes held shock and I knew why, I don't fight with my brother a lot and when I do they know I'm pretty ticked off.

"Steve stop pushing me, stop trying to piss me off and one last thing stop eating my donuts."I said with a cocky smile enjoying the shocked look on his face.

As I started to get off of him I turned and walked straight in to Travis.

Steve and Travis both tackled me to the floor and both of them had me trapped in a bear hug.

"Our little sister is back." I heard Travis whispered in my ear as I felt his and Steve's warm wet tears falling on my face and hoodie. They never cried and I have to admit I miss them.
I wrapped my arms tightly around Travis's wastes and cried into his shirt.

Wiping away my tears Steve lifted my head up and kissed my forehead and then Travis did the same. "Don't do that to us again Sky...we can't lose you..not you." I head Travis say letting our a shaky breath.

"Guy we need to start get to school or we will be late." I said wiping away the last of my tears.

"Screw it I don't care anymore we are spending the day together and p.s. little sis this time we not going to the high school we all need a break from acting like students. So Travis and I were thinking that while we are living here before we move again we can just stay at home or go into town ,not do all that work that we all know off by heart so this time we're just chilling." Steve said with a huge grin plastered on to his face.

"Hell yeah." I shouted "You guys what to binge watch crappy vampire movies and point out all of the errors, come on it will be like old times plus I've got snacks."I pleaded with them.

"If there are snacks involved then I in" I heard Steve yell back at me.
"Sure what the hell this could be fun." Travis said getting off the floor before grabbing my and pulling me on to his back giving me a piggy back ride to our lounge, so we could start watching our vampire movie marathon. Steve was behind us all the way laughing at us.
