Betty's POV:
As my alarm rang loudly in my ear, I groaned. It was Monday, and it had been a rough weekend.
Yesterday, my parents got into, yet again, another fight, resulting in me getting a black eye.
I woke up at 5, before it was even light outside, and flicked my lights on. Yawning, I stretched and scratched my braided hair.
I trudged to the bathroom, the one that I had used to share with my older sister, Polly, and looked around at the mess my mother had made.
"Ugh!" I mutter.
I look at the makeup strewn on the ground and the sink-top. For the next ten minutes, I straighten up the bathroom.
When I'm done I grab my concealer and foundation, and cover my black and blue eye.
After covering my eye with that, I look almost normal.
I coat my eyelashes with mascara, and my cheeks, being naturally rosy, were left alone.
I walked back into my room, and choose this outfit:After I got changed, I heard my phone buzz multiple times. I opened it to check who texted me.
When I read who texted me, and what they said , my heart stopped.
