"Hi again, Andre!" I greet him as he walks in. There was a slight moment of my hesitation before I said a word to him. It was like I was just playing the piano, and now I'm back at the club.

"Glad to see you didn't run away on us!" I jokingly add.

"Nah, don't worry," He tells me, "This might be a little strange for me, but at least I keep my word."

We end our conversation. I turn and look to Sayori, who is reading her poem apprehensively over and over again. I wonder what she wrote about now.

"Thanks for keeping your promise, Andre." Yuri says to him

Now I wonder if my prediction was right. I shake it off.

"I hope this isn't too overwhelming of a commitment for you." She adds. "Making you dive headfirst into literature when you're not accustomed to it."

Natsuki jumps into their conversation. Angrily, as usual.

"Oh, come on! Like he deserves any slack." She disagrees. "Sayori told me you didn't even want to join any clubs this year." She looks to the floor in childish anger and then adds, "And last year too! I don't know if you plan to just come here and hang out, or what, but if you don't take us seriously, then you will see the end of it."

"Natsuki.." I say quietly and under my breath. I don't support her being angry to our newest member. He's clearly giving literature and our club a try and she's not excepting it. She doesn't hear me when I say her name. I take a deep breath and walk up to her to embarrass her.

"Natsuki, you certainly have a big mouth for someone who keeps her manga collection in the clubroom." I say

"M-M-M.." Natsuki stutters. "Moanga is literature!"

I smile as I hear her say those words. It feels so good to make her upset. She plops into her seat and gives me a stare. I look away.

"Don't worry, guys!" Sayori reassures us, "Andre always gives it his best as long as he's having fun." I agree with her.

"He helps me with busywork without even asking!" She adds. "Like cooking, cleaning my room.." That part makes me a bit angry. I question it in my mind then look up for more details.

"How dependable." Yuri comments.

"Sayori, that's because your room is so messy it's distracting." Andre implies to them both. I chuckle when he says that. She can't even clean her room!

"And you almost set your house on fire once." He adds.

"Is that so.." She says, embarrassed then laughs nervously at herself.

"You two are really good friends, aren't you?" Yuri implies in spite of them both.

Yes they are, Yuri.

"I might be a little jealous," She continues. Why is she though?

"How come? You and Andre can become good friends too!" Sayori says to Yuri.

Yuri looks away, embarrassed.

"U-Um.." She says.

"Sayori?" Andre asks.

"Hmmm?" Sayori replies.

He doesn't say anything. Yuri is so stand-offish around him. And then I remember how freaking shy she is.

"Oh, oh! Yuri even brought you something today, you know." Sayori tells him.

What?!

"W-Wait! Sayori." Yuri shouts, I manage to see drops of sweat roll from her forehead.

"Eh? Me?" Andre questions. Who wouldn't bring him something?

"Um..not really," Yuri says, obviously trying to calm down from the previous event.

"Don't be shy!" Sayori immediately assures her.

"It's really nothing.." Yuri admits.

It's gonna be a book isn't it?

"What is it?" He asks Yuri.

"N-Never mind!"

She's so embarrassed about just a darn book.

"Sayori made it sound like a big deal when it's really not." Yuri tells him. "Uhh, what do I do?"

Yuri panics.

Sayori apologizes to her, "Eh? I'm sorry, Yuri, I wasn't thinking."

"Hey, don't worry about it." Andre sweetly says to her. I blush in my desk, only to remember he's talking to Yuri.

"First of all, I wasn't expecting anything in the first place." He reassures her, "So any nice gesture from you is a pleasant surprise." I narrow my eyes, not at him, but at Yuri. Her back is facing me, so she can't directly see me, but, I'm still mad.

"It'll make me happy no matter what." He adds, and I get more angrier.

"I-Is that so?" Yuri stutters.

"Yeah, I won't make it a big deal if you don't want it to be." He reassures her again.

"Alright," She finally agrees, "Well, here." My eyes widen when I see her get out A BOOK. I remember that I predicted this, but how and why?

"I didn't want you to feel left out," She admits, "So I picked you a book I thought you would enjoy. It's a short read, so it'll keep your attention, even if you don't usually read. And we could, you know," She shyly looks away at this line, "Discuss it..if you wanted.."

Andre faintly smiles at her in this regard. The anger comes back. Why does he like her so much? She didn't do anything for him at all! I wonder why he smiles at her like that.

"Yuri thanks! I'll definitely read this!" He says excitingly. I scoff.

He grabs the book right out of her hands. I can feel the jealousy all at once.

Yuri takes a sigh of relief.

"Well, you can read it at your own pace," She says, "I look forward to hearing what you think."

I spac out of their conversation as Sayori comes to my desk.

"Hello Monika," She says.

"H-Hi Sayori!" I greet her. "Is there anything you need?"

"Um, I just wanted to let you know that I have an idea for the festival!" She says unconfidently

"Oh?" I ask, "What's that?"

"Okay, so remember how yesterday you said that each day we can bring our own poems to school?" She implies.

"Yeah, yes I do." I reply.

"I was thinking for the cultural festival we can all read our poems to the crowd!" Sayori smiles.

I think about it for a second. I remember how shy Yuri can be, and Natsuki being so defiant, they are never going to want to read their poems to a whole crowd! But, I finally reconsider myself for a second, about what good this can do, and how this will show other students from our school how much fun the literature club is, and in return, new members!

"Huh," I say, still thinking, "That's actually a pretty good idea!"

"Really?" She says, practically smiling like it's the first time she heard someone say that about her.

"Yeah!" I smile, "We'll be sure to come through with it."

She smiles and heads back to her desk. Eyeing Yuri and Andre. Natsuki, on the other hand, is sitting in her desk reading The Parfait Girls. I wonder why she likes manga so much.

I follow Sayori's eyes towards Andre and Yuri. They are sitting next to each other with the desks huddled together. And they are reading Yuri's book together.
