As I walked around a corner
I came upon a mourner
completely dressed in black
He looked at me in fright
like he would faint just at the sight
or even have himself a heart attack
He looked familiar to me
this I could plainly see
yet I couldn't seem to come up with a name
He opened his mouth to speak
then closed it looking weak
seems he had been struck quite lame
I said "To a service you have been
that's really such a sin
please tell me was it someone that I know?"
He slowly nodded his head
in his eyes I could see dread
I thought maybe he is a little slow
I pleaded "Please tell me friend
who has met their end
who's funeral has just run it's course?"
He looked into my eyes
and to my horrified surprise
he answered in one word........
"Yours"
