Cole
I sat in the closet floor hiding under my blankie, as I heard mommy finish counting. "Ready or not, here I come!" I giggled knowing she would never find me here. "Colson?... baby boy, where are you?" Suddenly mommy pulled the blanket off me. "Ha! I found you!" Just then I realized my foot had been sticking out. I shrieked with laughter as mommy tickled me. I loved playing games with her. My growling stomach interrupted us. "Oh no. Are you hungry baby?" Mommy asked. I giggled and shyly asked for some chicken nuggies and Mac n cheese. I cuddled on the couch with Bentley, watching Rugrats, while mommy cooked for us.
It has been about a week since I had accidentally called Amber "mommy". Much to my delight, she was completely okay with it. Today is Saturday and I don't have to work, so I'm staying the night for the first time. Mommy brought me my plate and a cup of juice. After we ate, I snuggled into her arms. "Mommy, can we go to the park?" I asked her. "Sure baby, but you need to take a nap first. You look sleepy."
"Hmph. I'm not tired mommy. I wanna go to the park." In spite of myself, I yawned and rubbed my eyes. Next thing I knew, I woke up on the couch alone. Panicked, I jumped off the couch. I grabbed Bentley and held him to my chest. "Mommy?".."mommy!?" No one answered, so I started frantically looking around the house. Mommy wasn't hiding under the bed or in any closets. Where could she be? Bentley was no help, so I put him back on the couch. Just then, the front door opened. I jumped behind the couch to hide from the intruder when I heard mommy's voice. "Cole? Where are you sweet boy?" I peaked over the couch and saw mommy holding shopping bags. Relieved and a little embarrassed, I crawled out into the living room. "There you are baby. What are you doing?"
"Uhmm. I didn't know where you were and I got scared."
Mommy dropped the bags and gave me a hug. "Aww my poor baby. I went to the store to get you some things. I didn't think you would wake up while I was gone. I'm sorry baby."
"It's okay mommy." I told her.
I wasn't scared anymore. Curious, I tried to look in the bags but mommy told me it was a surprise. Mommy told me to get my shoes on for the park. I hurriedly ran to the couch and slipped on my shoes. I tried to tie them, but I forgot how. Dang it. Why is it so hard do things while little? I thought to myself. Frustrated, I kicked off one of my shoes and crossed my arms. "Hmph!"
Bentley laughed at me, so I pushed him off the couch.
"Baby boy! What's wrong? Why are you being mean to Bentley?" Mommy asked.
"I can't tie my shoe mommy. He laughed at me."
"You have to be nice to your stuffies baby. Pick up Bentley and tell him you are sorry."
I picked up Bentley, stuck my tongue out at him, and threw him back on the floor.
"Little boy. You better listen to mommy  or we aren't going to the park."
I did as mommy said and stuck out my feet for her to tie my shoes. "Good boy."
Mommy giggled as she took my shoe off my left and put it on my right. "Silly boy. You put your shoes on the wrong feet." She picked my shoe up off the floor and put it on for me. "Tank you mommy." I said. Mommy kissed me on the forehead and led me outside to the car.
Once we got to the park, mommy pushed me on the swing, and played with me on the play ground. As I was stepping off the slide, my foot slipped on the gravel and I fell, skinning my knee. "Oww mommy!" I cried out.
"Oh shit! Baby, are you okay?" Embarrassed, I nodded and took mommy's hand to stand up. I giggled as she kissed my knee better with magical mommy powers. Mommy said we needed to leave, so I reluctantly walked with her towards the car. Mommy buckled me in and asked, "did you have fun at the park, my sweet boy?" I nodded happily and thanked her for bringing me.

I ate all my pizza, plus Bentley's piece, that I took when mommy wasn't looking. Mommy let me pick dinner, so we picked up pizza on the way home from the park. "Time for a bath little one" mommy said.
"Yayy!" I love taking baths. "Will you help me mommy?" I asked. She said of course and we headed to the bathroom. One of my surprises was a toy boat that I happily played with, while mommy gave me a bath. I was a little shy being naked in front of mommy for the first time. When I was all clean she helped me out of the tub and dried me off.
"You have new jammies on my bed. Go get dressed, and I'll be there in a minute. Mommy is gonna take a shower real fast, okay?"
"Otay mommy." I said. I was turning to leave the bathroom, as mommy was about to get undressed for her shower. Suddenly, mommy slipped in some water on the floor and fell down.
"Shit! Are you okay mommy?"
"Baby boy, that's a bad word." Mommy said, standing up. "I'm okay, but you don't need to say that word."
Uh oh. I thought. "But mommy. That's what you said when I fell earlier. I thought that was what I was supposed to say." I was fibbing. I didn't mean to say "shit", but I didn't want to get in trouble.
"Little boy, you know you aren't supposed to say bad words." I was too stubborn to admit I was wrong, so I fibbed again.
"I didn't know it was a bad word mommy. You said it. Hmph."
Mommy looked at me sternly. I looked down at the floor.
"You're in trouble baby boy. Go sit on my bed, naked, and I will deal with you once I get out of the shower."
I stomped my foot, but did as I was told.
I anxiously sat on the bed, waiting for mommy. Why did I have to be so stubborn? It was my first time staying the night and I was already getting in trouble. I thought to myself.
Mommy walked into the room naked, carrying a belt.
Uh oh. I thought.
