She was starting to hate white. It was everywhere and the color of everything in that room. She looked at herself in the mirror. From her amber eye to her red one. It was grimm like Salem's, so she didn't mind but what bothered her was the violet pupil that stared back at her like a reminder. She woke up with it functioning properly. It was blurry at the time but she could make out the images. One of the moments when she was drifting in and out of consciousness was when the Sparrow pulled the trigger on Watts, the bullet landed on his shoulder and he was knocked out. The next moment she was being carried off to the nearest air ship. The other half of the grimm scarab had been removed as the first half was eaten by said Sparrow. They tried to remove anything else grimm but it would have resulted in her death. Along with the eye came her new arm, grimm but it was human at the same time. Black with grey claws but it was shaped like any other normal arm, barely any difference to her human arm.
" Cinder Fall." The specialist regarded her as she entered the room, her blue eyes watching her every move. " It's time." Right, they were removing her powers today. They led her down a long corridor, guards at every turn. She was sure there were ten more with every door they pass. They arrived at a large door with four symbols of the kingdoms on it. Qrow leaned against the door, waiting for them. He knocked and whispered something to the other side. Cinder could barely make out what she heard but from the specialist's look, she already knew.
" Red and White, Black and Yellow. Shielded by an olive tree, Guarded by a crow." Was what Winter read from his lips. She never understood that phrase, but it was full of symbolism. " I wished she'd killed you back there." He confessed to the soon ex-Fall Maiden. She grumbled at the very mention of the Sparrow, it reminded her of her violet pupil that always stares back, watching her every move. What the Sparrow did to her was surprising and disgusting, but even so, it saved her life.
She admitted to herself that she was glad not to find said Sparrow among the glaring huntsmen. On her left was some of the Sparrow's faction, some glaring some seem to be observing her violet pupil, a small flock sat above with a nightingale in the middle. It tapped its steel talons in warning to her.Her right stood her much older foes. Each one showing hate, disgust or indifference to her presence. All but the silver eyed girl, whom seem to give her a look of sympathy and she hated that. The girl she tried to kill more times than one was showing her pity, it was disgusting. She cursed herself even more for almost appreciating it.
" I can't believe she just, let her live." Jaune said quietly and darkly to his team, whom only patted him on the shoulder to have patience. " I know," He mumbled. Ozpin didn't even care to look at her, his eye seem to wonder all over the room but her. Arrogance, was what she called it. A reminder, was what it truly was to him. The four maidens remind him time and time again of his four daughters. Let it be even if it was Cinder, she was still the Fall Maiden as of that moment and the girl to take her place would share her pain. He hates it, every time. Cinder entered her pod with silence, there was nothing more she could do here. If she were to escape, there was Ruby here with her friends and the possibility of the Sparrow lurking in the shadows made her shudder.
" You don't have to do this." Ruby said to a girl Cinder couldn't see. She can't tell which of the girls entered the pod but it narrowed down to the short haired one and the one with the cap. She couldn't make out what the girl said, her voice, barely above a whisper. " I know, just, we'll be here for the whole way, okay?" The machines start to whir and the pain she felt was barely just a scratch. She felt a piece of her being pulled right out of her body. Karma's a bitch. She caught a glimpse of two figures as the extraction was in process. Her short brown hair and cloak had been unmistakable, the first victim of the parasitic grimm, Amber, watched with an indifferent look as she shrieked. The other figure gave her a pained and concerned look as she screamed, wincing on her behalf as tears formed in her eyes, she understood the pain, and as always, Pyrrah was full of compassion. She knew then, the Sparrow was present in the room before she passed out over the pain.
