While we had dinner, I was staring at the ceiling again.
“Are you trying to look at the stars through the ceiling? Sorry to break it to you, but that isn’t going to work.”
“Shut up, I would love to go to my star spot, but it’s pretty hard to go in my condition.”
“Oh, I see.”
I felt like Kyo was thinking of something, but I was too tired to care and went to sleep. When I woke up, I was in my star spot. Then I realized the windows were covered and I saw a replica of the trees and the stars on the walls and ceiling. Then typical Kyo scares me as usual and asks me, “What do you think? Is it like outside?”
“Yeah! It is! How did you do all this?”
“Well, it wasn’t easy. I had to go find plants and shells that were just the right color and had to make paint with those. Then I had to paint it, which took me forever. Then I had to figure out a way to cover the windows, which I did with really big leaves, which wasn’t so hard. So was my effort worth it? Hopefully you say yes, because I stayed up all night doing this.”
“Yes, it’s beautiful.”
I pulled Kyo down and gave him a big hug. I looked at his face, and he was looking away, blushing. I thought how it was cute that every time I hugged him or something, he would blush like that. I just closed my eyes and hugged him a bit longer.
