Garmau

I stand up on the arching large tree's root, calling for everyone in the village to meet in the town square. Once everyone is there, I begin.

"The rumors are true. I'm back, but at a horrible cause. You will all be happy to know Zane is dead, but.." I pause, looking towards Aphmau's home "Aaron sacrificed himself for it."

A few gasps are heard throughout the crowd. Zoey, Katelyn, Kawaii~Chan, Alexis, and Donna take off towards Aphmau's house. After they're gonna, everyone returns their focus on me.

I stay quiet for a moment.

"I.. don't know how close they were, but I know they were raising an adopted child together."

I trail off. The memory of the event floods my vision. The explosion, Aphmau's shocked face, the scream, the cries..

Tears well up in my eyes, forcing their way out.

"We all know this is going to affect Aphmau greatly. We all need to pitch in to help her with Lilith. I've never.. in the time I've known Aphmau, she has never been like this over someone. From what I've heard. She didn't ever cry this hard over Laurance or I, but then again that was a different situation." I pause again, pain throbbing in my chest.

"Does.. anyone know how close they were?" I ask, wiping my tears and looking at the small crowd.

Laurance scoffs and raises his hand slightly.

"She's always been infatuated with him. I think I realized it first back when we were searching for Levin, Malachi, and Zoey. We were leaving Nahakra village which was being invaded by the king of the Tu'La region." Laurance rolls his eyes before making his way up on the tree root I was on.

"She was fighting me about leaving without him, telling me she couldn't lose him. I told her I couldn't lose her and made her come with me. When we got into the sacred forest, we found him. She immediately ran up to him and practically embraced him, telling him how worried she was." Laurance's voice is very unimpressed.

This causes me to furrow my eyebrows in anger.

"Laurance, is this anyway to act right now? Put your jealousy aside for the sake of her. If she.. fell for him or liked him, we should respect that. She deserves that." I snap.

The crowd slowly starts to disband, other than Levin, Malachi, and Logan staying to keep an eye on us.

"She told us she would wait for us, Garroth. What does she do? She moves on to the mysterious bad boy. The only things we know about him are what she's told us that he told her. If I had known this was going to happen, I would've just taken her heart when I had the chance."

My eyes widen and I hit his shoulder.

"What the hell was that, Garroth!" He shouts, shooting me daggers with his eyes.

"Do not talk like that, Laurance. Aphmau deserves our respect. She fell in love, and he died. He's gone and she's crushed. We're supposed to be the two she can count on to cry to. If not Katelyn or Zoey. Put your damned jealousy aside and look at the bigger picture. She needs us."

With that, I jump from the tree and begin walking for the gate.

Before I get out of range, Laurance yells "You've become stupid, Garroth."

I pause, but do not turn around.

"I could say the same to you, Laurance."
