==Nathan==

"Even longer day for us" sighs my youngest brother Jay, it was silent for a moment until my phone begins to ring.

"Hello?" I answer. "Yes this is Nathan, yes...oh my god...wait what?... can't you transfer her here?... alright alright we're on our way" I hang up the phone and look at my two younger brothers. "They found Mom"

"Where?!" yelled Tyler. I put a finger up to my lip and pointed at my baby sister sleeping peacefully in the car.

"Colorado" I sigh.

"Colorado?!" yells Jay, I put my finger to my lip once again. "but that's a 5 hour drive!" he whisper yells.

"I know, but they wont transfer her to this hospital without a signature." I groaned, there was silence for a few moments. "I'm gonna call Asher" the call went on for around 2 minutes. "We're picking up Ash on the way and we're going straight there"

"But what about food??" moans Jay.

"We'll get a drive thru, now get in the car" I roll my eyes checking the time, it's already 9:45. We're gonna be there at like 3am at the earliest but that doesn't include traffic and food breaks.

"Do you think moms gonna be okay?" asks Jay with a little shake in his voice as if he was on the verge of tears, Jay may be a 14 year old boy but he's super emotional, I feel for my little brother.

"I honestly don't know bud" I put an arm around his shoulder and side hug him. I let go and place a hand on Tyler's shoulder as a it will be okay signal.

We've picked up Asher and got a Mcdonald's drive thru, We have only been on the road for an hour but almost everyone was asleep apart from me obviously.

Suddenly, I slammed the brakes hard and everyone jolted up, I heard moans and whines, I looked behind my seat to check if everyone was okay to see Lacey had been awakened, she rubbed her eyes confused as to where she was.

"Hey babe, it's okay just go back to sleep" I rubbed her leg. The car behind started honking as the light was green.

==Lacey==

I woke up from a sudden jolt forward, I whimpered and rubbed my eyes tiredly, to see I was still in the car, squashed between Jay and Asher in the backseat. Nathan turned round from the front and placed his large hand on my leg rubbing it gently mumbling something but I wasn't listening, then a loud honk went off from behind scaring me. I whimpered once again.

"Hey gorgeous? can you look at me for a sec please" I looked up to see Tyler turned round from the front with his hand rubbing my leg gently now.

"We're gonna be in the car for a while okay? just go back to sleep and it'll be over before you know it" he smiled and I nod my head slowly. A long arm was placed around my shoulders, I looked up and the arm belonged to Ash, I smiled and snuggled into him and shut my eyes.

I'm gently shaken awake, I open my eyes to bright white lights, I squint and blink a couple times before sitting up on the hard chair I was sleeping on. I yawn quietly and looked around me. It seemed as though I were in a hospital.

I couldn't see any of my brothers and I began to panic. Where could they be?

"oh, you're awake." says Jay, sitting down beside me.

"why are we in the hospital Jay? did something happen?" I ask confused.

"oh i'm not being the one to explain this to her" he mumbled but I could still hear.

"explain what?!" I whined, crossing my arms.

"where the fuck is everyone" he groans and I roll my eyes.

"princess you're awake" I perk up to see Tyler walking over.

"Tyler what is happening! Jay won't tell me"

Tyler's looks at me, then at Jay, then back at me and sighs.

Tyler bends down to my height and cups my face with his large warm hands.

"Lacey" he spoke

"Tyler" I reply

"You know how all your friends at school have mommies?" I nod "well you have a mommy too" I tilt my head.

"I do?" I ask and he nods.

"Uh-huh, but you don't remember her do you?" I shake my head. "Well that's because a couple of years ago, when you where just 2, our mommy left us" I raise my eyebrows.

"But why?" I ask confused.

"We don't know, Nathan filed a missing persons report and all the big policemen went looking for her, they've been looking for all this time until they found her last night" Tyler said calmly, now i'm only five but I could tell from his expression that he was upset, I looked at Jay and instead of grumpy he looked upset too, which made me upset.

"Why are we here though?" I ask still wondering.

"because she's dying." chimes in Jay from behind us. I turn around and looked up at my once again grumpy teen brother, shocked.

"Really?!" I began to get teary, i didn't know this woman but anyone dying made me sad. I turn back around to Tyler and he's silently yelling at Jay while giving him a death stare. "Is it true Tyler? is mom dying?" I ask, shaking a bit.

"No no no, of course she's not! Jay doesn't know what he's talking about" He says while rubbing my arm gently. I could feel a few tears escape my eyes and i'm brought into a large hug from Tyler. He lifts me up and I straddle his waist, my tired tears leaking onto his shirt.

Suddenly there were two familiar voices coming closer to us. "Is she awake?" says one and I felt Tyler nod. "Hey, you okay Lace?" I look up to reveal the face belonging to the familiar voice, it was Nathan, with Asher behind him. He sees my teary eyes and his faint smile turns to a frown, he looked at Tyler.
"what did you do to her now?" he moans taking me from Tylers arms to his.

"It was Jay, not me. I did nothing." Tyler groaned staring down at grumpy Jay.

"Jay?" asks Nathan after comfortably placing me on his hip.

"What?" moaned Jay, in his usual grumpy moaning voice.

"What did you do this time?" Nathan asks in an obvious tone. At this point I had zoned out of there pointless arguing, I was thinking about my Mom. Does she really exist? or is Tyler telling porkies again? I'm always thinking, but this time I didn't know what to think...
