Zayn watched her walk into the house. She seemed more settled and less erratic. "Kaia, love?"

She looked up at her husband and gave him a small smile and reached for his hand. "Come sit with me?" She asked.

"As you wish."

She pulled him along to the living room and sat down on the couch but didn't let go of his hand. With her other hand, she reached up and touched his cheek. "I'm sorry," she said gently.

"Don't be, I'm just happy your father was able to help you and give you the momentum to open the envelope."

"But I worried you." She said. "More so than normal. To be honest, I felt like I was losing my mind a little bit," she said. She looked down at their hands and she threaded her fingers with his. "You, Zayn Malik, are my strength, my heart, and my soul. And...and I have faltered but you made me believe in us. You have helped me through some of my worst times. Thank you for calling Bruce. He..He was able to help me cope with what I read and with the pictures I saw," she said and squeezed his hands.

"It takes a village,"" Zayn said with a small blush as she talked about him " I have to admit I was at a loss and I couldn't figure out to help you like I have in the past and there was one man I thought could help." He said. "I want you to be able to lean on me, on us, all of us. Don't hold anything in my love."

"I admit I'm angry at her for dying. For how she died," she said trying not to tear up again. "She was a runner it seems like. Something I've always seemed to do," she said and had to look away. "And you didn't deserve all the times that I ran. It wasn't fair to you. You didn't deserve how I acted. Bruce said that I'm very much like her. My personality. My traits. The way I laugh. The way I worry."

Zayn took her hand and kissed it. "For better or worse, my love. Until my dying day. I don't regret anything."

She reached up and touched his cheek again and smiled. "I promise, from this day forward to not hold anything in. I promise to come to you if I'm ever in doubt about anything." She leaned closer and kissed him. Slowly and deeply.

"I would love that, I only want to see you happy and healthy my cherished one," he smiled against her lips. "Just always remember our vows to each other," he said and kissed her again.

"And I promise to not the past actions of others dictate my future," she said. "That isn't fair to you or to me or our children."

Zayn gave his wife an odd look and could only think he would believe when he saw it. He still expected her to have some minor meltdowns and freakouts. It was who she was and he couldn't fault her for that and it made him love her even more. He simply nodded his head and looked past her to see his father In law. "Is he staying for dinner?"

She nodded. "Is that alright?" She asked.

"He is family isn't he?" He teased her. "You want him in your life?"

She smiled at him. "Yes," She said. "I think I need him in my life," she said. "I think he's a good man. He's still harboring a lot of guilt over her death. Blames himself he said. He said he should've not let her leave. That he should have gone after her.  I told him it wasn't his fault she was erratic and stubborn." She said. "I need two strong-minded men in my life. Keep me in line," she said with a small smile.

"Good, I think we can keep you on the right path. Finally get those running shoes off," he winked at her.

She leaned forward and hugged him tightly. "I love you, Malik. More than you will ever know."

"I love you more Bennet," Zayn smirked. "More than you will ever know. You are my heart and gave me the three greatest blessings I never knew I needed."
