Lisa knows. Everything.
From Jennie's condition to her feelings for Lisa—all. The thing is, Jennie thought it's Lisa who doesn't have any idea about what's happening but it's the other way around.
Lisa suddenly got curious, "when was the last time you cried?"
"It's been a while, I can't remember it anymore," she looked at Jennie and secretly smiled.
she really dont know how to lie. she needs more practice.
Lisa knows Jennie too well that she can tell if she's lying or not just by looking at her.
"Really?"
"Yeah," she felt Jennie's sudden change after that so she did something just to lighten up the mood. She told about her crying after seeing Leo alive. It was real tho, and even herself somehow finds it funny and shallow but who can blame her?
But she partly lied about that, because the last time she cried was when she saw Jennie screaming out of pain while she was taking her chemotherapy.
"...but of course, you're still my bestest friend," she looked at Jennie, "so please, don't leave me okay?"
Don't yet. Not now.
She knows she shouldn't ask for it but maybe she's that selfish too. And she admits it.
Lisa was drawn ten years back.
"Hey, Jennie. I have a question."
"What is it?"
"Do you think ten, twenty or fifty years from now we're still together? Like this?"
"I'm not sure, Lisa. But who knows? Maybe we are, maybe we're not."
"But i...honestly want us to be though. i mean, like this, even when we grow old. you know, wrinkles, white hair and something like that."
Jennie looked at her.
"Don't you want that?" she asks.
Jennie smiled. "Of course, i do want that, lisa. Who doesn't?"
"Then...will you promise me you wont leave me?"
Jennie became silent for awhile. "Don't leave me, okay?" Lisa repeated and Jennie smiled before answering, "okay,"
"So...forever, jenlisa?"
"jenlisa?"
"Jennie, Lisa, JenLisa."
Jennie laughed at her. "okay, forever jenlisa."
Lisa can't help but smile at the memory. She can't believe she was that 'corny' at the age of twelve.
"What if i do, will you hate me?" Jennie asks.
"Will you?"
"What if?"
"No...i know if you do, there's a valid reason. you won't leave me just like that," she said confidently but deep inside, she's afraid.
"How did you know?"
"I just do,"
Because I must go first, not you.
"I know you'll soon leave too, and I'm sure I'll be the happiest when that happens."
"Happiest? Why would you be happy if I'll leave you?"
"Hmm," Lisa smiled. "Because it's the moment that you'll finally decide to marry,"
Make that happen, Nini.
