The Airport

The door to my house closed, my old life gone. I sat in the middle seat between Zain and Looie. Hairry was driving, Niyall was in the passenger seat and Liem was squatting in the trunk.

"You have a beautiful voice" ZSayne whispered in my ear. I was blushing so much I hoped he didn't notice.

"Thanks" I responded, "Singing is the only thing that would get me through the hard nights after everyone made fun of me at school during the day"

"I'm so sorry about that" Zaiyne said with a sad look on his face "Do you know any other songs?"

"No" I responded quickly. These boys probably think I'm so stupid!! I always wanted to be a professional singer, but my old classmate Braxtonn always bullied me for my singing after I performed for a school talent show.

Thankfully Braxtonn's parents were anti-vaxx so he got killed off by the measles in the 5th grade.

We were silent for the rest of the car ride, I didn't dare ask where we were going, fearful of the destination. Suddenly the car stop in front of the Pennsylvania state airport. I realized my ukulele wasn't in my backpack yet so I stuffed it in and hopped out of the car. Not knowing how far the ground was from the car I tripped and landed right on my face. I was so embarrassed, now they already know I'm clumsy. Leeam jumped out of the trunk and helped me up, his smile was so warm but I quickly turned away after noticing a dash of red liquid on his teeth. It was probably just something he ate earlier.

We all walked into the airport and it was a ghost town, no one could be seen throughout the whole building.

"We needed this place to be cleared out so we don't get mobbed" Hayree said when he noticed my look of confusion. We walk through the airport, the only noise being the clacking of our shoes on the tile. Exiting through a ground-level door I see a jumbo jet that looks ready to load. The boys all walk over to it but instead of going through a main entrance to the plane they loop around to the back end of the plane.

"Wait, wait, wait. Why aren't we going in the front end?" I asked.

"We told you, we don't want to get mobbed" Lüi answered.

I didn't question further, after all, this was the least crazy thing that had happened to me. We all piled in what seemed like the storage facility of the plane, it was dark, cold and cramped. It looked like where they kept caged animals during the flight. I knew that because the one time my mom let me watch TV, before she sold it to get her 31st juul, I watched the show Border Security. I guess we all have our little quirks!

"Where are we flying?" I asked courageously.

"We're going to my cattle ranch in Minnesota" Leeham said.

That was the end of the conversation, I was tired from the wild day I had and just wanted to sleep. I found a spot on a shelf about two feet above ground, curled up on the cold metal and fell asleep.
