Bandit Hold-Up

Third person's POV

Kiyan picked up the greatsword he threw. He swung both swords to remove the black blood before sheathing them back to their individual scabbard. He looks at Sapphira, who is staring at him What?

You really wiped them all out.

Kiyan smiled confidently Of course, those assassins from Ju-an Clan are much better than those things. Sapphira gritted her teeth His confidence is annoying! She pouted Are you making fun of me?!

Kiyan blinked Of course not.

She smiled evilly Well, let's see if you could survive this! She pointed a finger to the ground that the ground deformed and started forming into human-like features. The figure grew big that Kiyan has to look up to it!

A few moments later, the figure turned into an ogre then grabbed a tree as its weapon!

Kiyan smiled as he drew a greatsword This sure reminds me back when I was arriving at the Clan. Sapphira said sarcastically Don't blame me if you get injured!

Kiyan replied Let's see about that.

Sapphira clenched her hands Do you ever back down?! As the ogre swung its weapon downwards! Kiyan rested his weapon above his shoulder, putting all strength on his entire arm. He swung the greatsword towards the tree full force that it got cut in half vertically!

A slight wind from the swing hit the ogre on the face and a small cut appeared on it.

Sapphira's mouth opened in disbelief.

The ogre dropped its broken weapon and proceeded to step on him like a bug.

He simply leaped to the side to evade the attack and proceeded to cut its foot off!

It roared in pain and stumbled on the ground, the ground slightly shaking upon impact.

Kiyan merely looked at it as it sat to face him. He gave a sideways smile and tossed one of the greatswords high in the air.

The ogre's eyes is glued to the weapon in the air that it didn't see the other one whizzing towards its neck!

The giant gagged and lay motionless to the ground! The other greatsword came falling and pierced deeply on its face.

The life has completely left the ogre's body. Kiyan looked at Sapphira with a grin, which Sapphira is just speechless, she stuttered You--I... she sighed I don't even know what to say. Do you even need to train for your sparring competition?

Janus and Sir Stein are on another level. I can't afford to let my guard down against them.

Kiyan removed his coat for he felt warm then looked at the pond. He looks at Sapphira Hey, do you want to join me for a swim?

Sapphira said Sure, why not? She noticed her surroundings Wait a moment. She sent strings of light from her hand to the corpses and they vanished in golden light.

The two enjoyed their swim until the sun began to set. Kiyan commented I forgot to bring more extra clothes, maybe I should go back.

Sapphira snapped her fingers and a neatly folded shirt and shorts appeared in front of him Whoa! What is this? She replied sternly Clothes of course, you don't want them? 

Yes, I'll take them, thanks Saph'.

Kiyan changed his clothes in the woods and when he came back, he said to himself Maybe I should go scout around than laying here. Sapphira suddenly hugged him from behind Can I go with you? Kiyan answered Just behave yourself.

He grabbed one of his greatswords and firmly strapped the sling, he brought his Grim Reaper mask with him.

Sapphira commented when they circled the forest outside the Clan twice Are you not getting bored seeing the same place? Kiyan admitted I do but I go further away from the Clan for there might be a bandit hideout somewhere.

At the dead of night...

A family of three is traveling, the father said to his wife and daughter We'll stop at Masamune Clan for the night. The footsteps of the horse clip-clopped in the moonless night, a cold breeze of wind shook the leaves of the tree in a rustling noise, and the only the light of their lantern dimly lit the road. He pulled the reins of his horse when five armed men blocked their path!

None of you move!

They all went pale when they got held up by bandits! They forcefully pulled them off the carriage and held them tight. The father exclaimed Don't you dare hurt them! Take what you want!

The bandits looted a few things then the father said You got what you want, now let us go! One of the bandits said We can't let you go and sing your song to the Wild Rose. He ordered Take 'em to the hideout!

The father suddenly turned to the man who's holding him and sent a fist crashing to his face, he looks at his wife and daughter in despair then made a dash towards the wall, the leader snarled Get him! And make sure he's dead!

Meanwhile, hidden in a branch full of leaves, a masked man observed the proceeding situation.
