Chapter 1
As the airplane approached the airport, I felt even more nervous. Not that I'm not happy to see my dad and friends, it's just that I hate it here in Almena. It's so small and there are absolutely no beaches here! I used to live on California with my sister Sophia and my aunt rosa but my dad thought she was too dangerous because we went to wild parties in LA, we were allowed to do what ever we want and we had no curfew. So Sophia and I were forced to move to Almena with my dad.
We got our luggage and started looking for my dad. Now I warn you my dad is very immature yet he's really protective.
"Aleena stop walking so slow and hurry! We needa find dad!" Sophia yelled.
"Well if you at least try to help we can look for dad faster" I snapped.
After yelling at eachother back and forth we saw my dad. He's almost forty, has dark caramel colored hair with no white hair and no wrinkles. He looks really young.
"DADDY!" squealed Sophia
"Sophia!" dad yelled in a girly voice, he hugged her and they started chit chatting. "Dad I'm right here" I rolled my eyes.
"Hey kiddo, I missed you well both of you" he said while he gave me this really tight bear hug.
"If you don't let go, I'll choke to death" I joked.
"Sorry aleena" he rubbed the back of his neck. "So anyone want McDonalds?"
"We do!" Sophia and I screamed. He chuckled, so with that we left.
As soon I went in the house, I was surprised with how cozy yet elegant it looked. The living room was huge with this huge flat screen tv, the whole first floor had these soft fuzzy rugs. I was about to wander around when my dad said "Kiddo no walking in shoes in the house"
"Sorry dad" I said as I took my shoes off.
"So dad where's my room?" Sophia said as she popped her gum.
"Upstairs captain obvious" I muttered. She rolled her eyes.
"Ok ok follow me" he said laughing.
As soon as Sophia saw her room she yelled in this high pitched girly voice that you get used to after a while.
"I love it dad thanks!" she squealed as she hugged my dad. She stayed in her room while my dad walked me to my room. The walls were lavender colored and had everything I needed. It had a full size bed with baby blue covers and pink blanket, with a whole bunch of pillows and Teddy bears. I just wanted to jump on it, it looked so comfy. And that's when I saw it. My grandmas quilt. It had a lot of colors with a lot of patches on it. I touched and it brought back so many memories, oh how I wish she was here with me. I was so caught up in my thoughts when my dad started talking, I turned around startled.
"I had to make the bed you know girly and comfy" he said "I got a lot of stares from buying girl stuff at the mall" he looked down embarrassed. I just laughed and nodded. My room had a huge closet where you can literally walk inside of. There was full size body mirror on one wall and a dresser for my makeup and girl stuff. "I love my room dad it's perfect thank you" I gave him a warm hug.
"Your welcome kiddo now shower and change I'm gonna start making dinner and oh yeah school starts tomorrow" he said as he walked out.
"Wait what? School? I don't wanna go" I whined.
He came back and smiled "see ya in a few"
Ugh, great school. Popular stuck up bitchy girls and players. Woohoo school. I opened my suitcases and started putting everything away.
