Chapter 2

Sophie

"Sophie I expect you to be here when I message you on the first Com call. But it doesn't matter now. You are to be assigned to Master Dome Govner. HE has given strict regulations and have demand for your work number to be assigned to his task. Twin Gaurdsshall escorts and monitor your security. I expect you to complete the task given by Master Dome Govner." Mother finished  as she flipped through some paper she had on her clip board. Her eyes narrowed as she read the paper before growled.

Uh oh.

I looked up at her as she glared down at me.

"Why is your blood work showing that you took a dose of gene blocker this morning Daughter? Have you become incompetent since your last assignment? You do realize that now you cant take your assignment because your work number will be flagged as medical quarantine till your blood work comes back clean.
" Mother snarled as I felt my instincts flare to escape danger. Father as Mother personal assistant also flinch from her tone hostility towards his offspring.

Crap! How did I forget that the dose of gene blocker I took yesturday would show up in my blood work today. Before I could speak up Father stepped infront of Mother, unlike female omegas, male omegas are physically, emotionally, mentally incapable of harming their mates. Many male omegas risk their mates wrath rather to ensure offspring survival.

Its one of the darkest secrets that Alpha females try to erase from history as well as using science to exterminate the gene that cause this.
The instinct to kill their offspring regardless if they are incapable of creating more.

"She can still go my darling. If her blood work is showing that she has taken a gene blocker than she will be secured to work 24hrs from when she took it." Father soothed as he slowly wrapped his arms around Mother middle and took his head into her neck.

He was taller than regular male omegas but he was still almost a head shorter than Mother. His purr countering her growl and before my eyes Mother submitted to his idea.

"You're right my love. When did you take the gene blocker child." Instead of it being a question it was a demand I could disobey.

" I took it at 1800hrs when I joined the guard force to their dinner outings beyond the walls." I whimper out, feeling like sludge for selling out my friends that I snuck out with.

Before I could even flinch I felt my self being picked up by the neck off the ground. If I didnt have the brace I on for my neck I would swear she would have snapped it. I could hear father purring louder than before and the scent of panic filled the air. Fear was overwhelming as Mother growled.

"I will be weeding out this breach of recklessness that has dare to enter my domain and I find you are contnemainting another guard sect you will also be eliminated. Do I  make myself clear whelp." Her grip tighten briefly and I can feel real pressure as fear sinks in that she has the strength to crush my brace and my neck altogether if she really wanted to.

"Mate please. She is our little girl. She is our only offspring." Father whimpered as he nuzzled her neck trying to pull her attention away from me.

But instead of becoming calm as most Alphas would with their Omegas she whipped her hand to his uniform yanking him off her and snarled. Baring her larger than normal Alpha female fangs. Slowly bringing her sharpen nails to Father face.

"I will thoroughly punish you as well for interfering." Cutting his cheek, he hissed but didnt squirm away from the pain before she pushed him aside.

"Leave before I find a reason to execute here and now." Mother growled as she marched past me and turning to look back at her crumpled mate that she tossed aside

I had to wait for her to be far enough to go near Father as he sat up lightly touching his cheek.

"Stay over there Sophie. Its safer for you over there till you complete your assignment. I can't let her find a reason to terminate you."Father whimpered as he tried to flex his jaw and flinch.

"Damn I mustn't have notice she coated her nail today with some  venom."

"Father! You nee"

"No Sophie. You need to leave. I will be here when you return. You already know this isn't a lethal dose. Now hurry along before your Mother returns. Please baby girl." Father said as he got up but looking so aged in that one moment. He left me on the tram dock as well.

I'm really hoping today is not the day where Father will no longer be here when I return.
