(A/N: This was a moment of weakness on my part. I also had that one ex that was difficult to resist.  Let's call her "the Artist" I wrote this back in 2014 (I was 21), I used our story for most of my bitter and sultry poems. Including Honey-Flavored Lips and Black Magic. Yup.)

Let's not live in this reality, let's dream and wish

That what was once the "best thing there is" still exist

Let's allow ourselves to believe in nonsense: in love and eternity

Maybe I'll get lost in you and you in me.

Let's just stay a while and pretend it's all okay

Let's just do that for today.

As we lay on this bed

Time seems becomes nonexistent and goodbyes become unsaid

Forgotten is that ghost, Betrayal, that haunts us

If you ask why I love you, it'll be easy to say "just because."

What we had – HAVE is still special and it cannot be undone

That demon, Fate, has not won

Making you mine is my sole purpose - my mission.

Let's once again smolder in the delusion we once called passion.

I feel you as all the air escapes your lungs

In loving memory of what paradise was once.

Hear you scream in pure ecstasy of pain or pleasure

As you beg for more..

As you draw your final breath,

I escape my trance and grow with regret.

I can't stop not right now...

My body has a mind of its own; I'm letting myself down.

As you pick up the pieces of you and left once again

I lay there reminiscing what it used to be then.

Captivated by instant gratification and your beauty.

How could I let the devil, Desire, possess me entirely?

I must not forget to remember

Now, you belong to another.
