Elaina's POV
I am super happy for Lucy! Today she got up twenty minutes earlier than normal and ordered breakfast for the both of us. She even washed her face and put on mascara! I have never, and I mean never, seen her look so happy. She woke me up all smiling and happy. Taylor texted me a few minutes earlier and he said he and Beth were planning a surprise party for Lucy to congratulate her on defeating her dad. They wanted to hold it in our apartment and I told them if they got snacks, I would decorate. So the party was set, on Friday, Beth would go buy snacks, I would decorate and Taylor would distract Lucy until we were ready. It is only Wednesday so we have plenty of time to get ready for the part on friday. This Monday is Labor Day so this weekend is Labor Day weekend. No school Friday or Monday. Perfect. I get up and get ready to wake Lucy up but I remember she is already awake and all ready for school. She even did her own hair and it looks wonderful. She borrowed one of my tops because she wants to get out of the "doom and bloom look". I don't blame her. Those clothes were ugly. Beth has the same style but she pulls the goth look off, Lucy's too sweet looking to be goth. Tomorrow after school we're going to go sell all of her clothes at H&M and use the money to get her a whole new wardrobe.
****Lucy's POV****
We finally get out to the bus stop. Beth and Taylor are already there and we all group hug. They are the most awesome two people I've ever met. I can tell Taylor likes how I am starting to dress more optimistic. "Taylor" I say, "Now that I know I have powers, I've been researching how to use them better." Taylor says back, "What have you found out?" "Well," I reply, "When I banished my dad, a ring appeared on my finger." I told Laina about the ring on the walk over here. I showed Taylor and Beth the ring. It is all gold with a ruby center and very pretty. I continue, "I showed a wizard the ring and," "Wait!' Taylor says, "A wizard?" "Yeah I continue, "The wizard who lives in London, England. Don't interrupt. I went to London during the night and came back at ten." "How did you get to London?" Beth asked. "I had to teleport." Lucy said with a smile. "I've gotten really good at it to. Do you want to teleport to school?" "Seriously?" I asked, "No you have to continue telling the story." "Right, okay so the story goes the wizard looked at the ring and I told him I was a demon. Then he did this spell thing and he concluded that I'm not a demon anymore. Apparently after I disconnected myself from my dad I lost my demon connection too." "So what doe that mean?" Taylor asked. "It means, now I'm a Faerie now"
****Beth's POV****
Lucy is a Faerie now that she disconnected herself from Hell. It makes sense if you think about it. That's good because if she turned human I wouldn't know what to do. Monsters can't become human unless they have permission from the council in Transylvania. Then they die and are reborn as human. My dad said that the process is very painful and long, so I wouldn't want that for her. Monsters just can't become human in a flash so it makes sense for her to turn into the opposite of a demon. I hear the bus coming down but its still a few miles away super hearing perks of being a vampire. I must have been in a daze because I heard Taylor say my name. "Yeah?" I looked up at him. "You ok?" "Yeah I'm fine Taylor just heard something" I laugh then look down the road. "The bus is coming" and we all get ready to get on. The bus pulls up a few minutes later and we all get on. I see the cute boy again and decide to say hi. To my surprise he says hi back and moves over to sit next to me. Taylor looks at me weird but shrugs and sits next to Lucy, Elaina is all by herself. The boy's name is Johnny and he is the most perfect human being ever, the only thing wrong with him is that his is a human being. We talk for the whole ride up to school but we don't have any classes together so I'll only see him at lunch and on the bus. I tune into his thoughts and he is thinking that I am perfect. I feel like creep so I shut him out and continue our conversation. Later that day, I bump into him in the hallway. He suggested that we cut school and go do something together. Wanting him to like me, I agree. We leave school without anyone seeing and run to the pizza arcade down the street. We play all the games and on Dance Dance Revolution we earn the high score. I've never felt so free.
