36. Mate PT 2 (Fluff)

"Congratulations!" Every says to Keith that night at dinner, Keith blushes and Lance smiles proudly. Ever since Keith's heat ended, people started treating him differently. Especially the two days after his heat, basically what happened during that week was having sex in long periods of time, short breaks for napping and food and water when definitely needed. The periods between sex and napping were shorter than usual this time around, Keith used suppressants and birth control. What happens when you suppress things? They eventually blow up. Keith was more horny than usual and just by chance Lance went into his rut. So sex was more important than sleep at the time. Since omegas are most fertile during their heat, of course Keith got pregnant.

"So Lance, you'll be moving to the red lion, since blue locked you out and red called to you earlier today. Allura is moving to blue and I'll be piloting Voltron." Keith feels bad that this situation had to happen, he does want to help but right now he has to be the house wife. Coran looks to Keith who's not very talkative tonight, "Keith my boy, would you like to go for a walk?" Keith looks up from his bowl of food goo, well empty bowl of food goo and nods. "Sure Coran." The two begin to walk out of the dining hall and make their way to the infirmary.

"What's up Coran?" Keith asks and Coran smiles, "I've adjust the pods to the human anatomy. So I can keep track of your pregnancy through the pod and this machine." Coran pulls an ultrasound out, but an alien version. "Hunk and Pidge helped me." Keith's jaw drops. "So number four, lets set you up on this bed and we can have your first... what ever they called it." Keith blushes but nods. Coran guides him to the bed by the nearest wall and Coran turns on the machine. "I figured you would like to do this alone for the first one, it is quite overwhelming." Keith sighs and lays down on the bed, "It is, I never expected to be pregnant. Like ever." Coran grabs a bottle of gel and lifts up Keith shirt and puts some on his lower belly. Keith shivers and Coran chuckles. Coran moves the wand around and he finds the baby quickly. "Pidge and Hunk has said our tech is more advanced that we can see the womb through this ultrasound and not you know what I'm talking about." Keith does indeed know, he's mated with Lance. His mother is a midwife. He knows all about the pregnancy process and the two different ultrasounds. He's very glad he doesn't have to go through the one that goes inside him because that would of been awkward.

"They both upgraded the software and tech, so it can tell you how long you are if the baby is healthy and such. But can't tell the gender, still too early." Coran chuckles and Keith gets emotional. Coran moves the wand by accident and discovers something.

"Oh my! You're having twins!" Coran exclaims and that's when Keith starts crying.

"I-I what?" Coran tries to get both babies into the picture. He does so and makes sure to screenshot it and Keith goes wide eyed. Make omegas rarely ever have twins, it's a miracle that it's happened. Generally male omegas would have one child at a time, if there's more than one baby it's considered a sign (not part of the omegaverse, it's something I came up with). Coran then hears the door open and Lance comes walking, just as that happens, Keith just sits there with happy tears going down his face. "What's going on Coran?" Lance asks and Keith can't help but chuckle to himself. "Lance do you have twins in your family?" Coran asks and he turns off the machine, hands Keith a towel and he wipes the wand and cleans it, "Yes... Why?" Keith sits up and brings Lance into a kiss. Lance stands there frozen and when he pulls away and Keith whispers, "We're having twins."

Lance begins to go light headed and Keith kind just stands there in shock at what happens next. Lance falls to the floor and Coran chuckles. "I guess he's shocked." Keith says before laughing at his mate.

When Lance regains conscious, Keith has Lance's head on his lap and he's playing with his hair. Lance smiles at the thought of them having two children together. "Sorry for fainting." Keith chuckles and Lance goes a crimson colour. Keith keeps on playing with his hair and Lance just smiles up at his mate, and Keith just knows that Lance is going to be a very protective alpha in the next coming months. 

This is the only beginning for the two, and Keith can wait for this part of their story to start!
