Bella swan grew up moving to five different states so she was used to moving and not able to make a lot of close friends knowing she'll move again in a year or two. But she was also unaware that someone came to each state with her and her dad. The stranger kept his distance but still kept an eye on her to keep her safe.
Bella have seen him before but that was awhile back and she might not realize until they see each other again. He tries to remain unseen so she won't think he is stalking her. He wonders what happened to her mom and how Bella grew up so fast in a few months and gained a lot of knowledge.
His guess was that she was half vampire and half human. Her dad must be a vampire while her mom was human. Her mom must have died after giving birth to Bella and Bella's dad wasn't able to save her. Or she don't want to be saved. Either way, Bella's here and alone with her dad. He must save Bella from her alcoholic dad before it's too late.
But he has to wait until the right time to get her and convince her to escape while she still can. That won't be easy since she has been trying to take care of her dad while he is beating the crap out of her. She missed school a lot because of it. But since she is half vampire, she's not missing much.
