Elain was there. Trapped in that fort. The female which Azriel assumes was Laura was still chuckling. Azriel used this opportunity to look around and see what is the best way to get inside the castle.

"Give her to us!"Rhys demanded. They seemed to be trying the easy way. Or they were buying Azriel time by distracting her. Azriel didn't think that slowly sneaking around her while she was busy laughing at Rhysand and Cassian would work, but it did.

He sneaked around her and went in to the fort. The guards weren't a problem he got rid of them in a heartbeat. The problem was that he didn't know where Elain was kept. He decided to send his shadows in different directions to try to find Elain. He himself headed up a flight of stairs. He took so many twists and turns that he was worried he wouldn't find his way out again.

She's kept in the tower. The one that is a little crooked.

His shadows found Elain. Great. Now just to get to the tower. He looked out a window and spotted that one of the towers were slightly crooked. That's where Elain will be. He hoisted himself on the window sill and jumped out his wings springing into action.

He flew towards the tower and landed on the window. But inside holding Elain by the hand was a mess of rusty curly hair.

Elain looked ok. Her hair was messy and she had some dirt smudges on her face but she looked fine.

"Az!" She said.
Azriel didn't give Laura time to think. His movements were quick and exact. Within a second he pushed the red head out of the way, grabbed Elain's arm and ran to the window.

"Az what are you doing?!" Elain screamed as the spymaster jumped out of the window with the seer in  his arms. He stretched out his wings and flew. On the way he waved at Rhys and Cass to fly back.

He expected to hear Laura swear behind them, but instead she chuckled and yelled after them.
"Good luck shadow singer, you just started war with war." She cackled wickedly.

What could that possibly mean?

Sorry that I upload late so often. I'm on a ski trip in Austria so I will have little time to work on the story. But I will be checking for comments. Please do write your opinions and thoughts.  I am always open to suggestions. Thanks!
