The first reader of a writer is their first love. It's how I felt, at least.

Once a reader comes into a story with the intention of silencing the noise of the world and witnessing the music in their eyes unravel a song that was made for them, they had lived another life other than their own.

A writer's love for their reader is like the universe, it will keep expanding and expanding, a kind of love where we look up at the world and witness the stars sparkle from the night sky where the light from a story is shining through them, where the light of a story lives on in to the bright minds.

Readers make every writers beginning and their ending become unbounded by time. 

Unfortunately for me, my first reader wasn't just an ordinary reader. He is known for one of the best writers in Wattpad Academy and in the world of Wattpad. Brent Williams is the first one to step foot on the fields of dreams, walking through the breeze and flowers with his bare feet, and sat in front of a mounded seed, waiting for the magnolia tree I had planted to flourish from its roots.

That's how it felt to me. That's how it felt when someone came by my story and waited for it to bloom.

I'm hooked in his story. Naging idolo ko pa siya dahil magaling talaga siya magsulat. Ang daming twist at mapapaisip ka. Kahit galit ako sa kanya, hindi ko maiwasan mapahanga sa kanyang galing at husay. He would've been my second favorite if he hadn't been my enemy.

Natulala ako sa akin nabasa. Totoo ba itong nangyayari sa akin? O isang bangungot lang ito na nagpapanggap na akin pinapangarap?

Tinitigan ko nang mabuti ang nag-iisang komento sa feedback box, kinukurap-kurap ko pa ang akin mata na hindi ako makapaniwala sa nabasa ko.

BrentWilliams: Why is no one reading your story?

Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala. Si Brent Williams ang unang nagkomento at nagbasa ng akin kwento—ang kauna-unahan kong reader, mula sa bilyon-bilyon na tao sa buong mundo tapos siya pa? Ngayon pa ako magrereklamo, ito rin naman ang gusto ko, basta ang importante may nakakabasa nito, kaaway ko man siya o hindi.

Nagdadalawang-isip si ako kung kailangan ko pa bang mag-reply. Dapat ko ba sagutin ang tanong ni Brent? Paano kung wala rin ako masasagot sa kanya dahil kahit ako mismo ay hindi alam kung bakit ganito ang resulta ng pinakauna kong published work?

Ireese: I don't know. You like my story?

I waited for a minute then a new comment popped-up below mine.

BrentWilliams: No.

Napasimangot ako sa nabasa ko. As expected from Brent Williams. He never ceases to disappoint me.

Ireese: Bakit mo pa tinanong kung may nagbabasa?

BrentWilliams: I was mocking you.

Nanlisik ang mata ko nang tinitigan ko laptop screen. Bago pa ako makapag-reply, may lumabas na notification sa inbox. Agad kong pinindot ang notification.

BrentWilliams: Is that all you can do?

Brent moved our conversation on his private message. He really wanted to shove it on my face on how my story sucks from the beginning.
