I draw back my old stained curtains revealing the bright sunlight seeping through my window. The first thing I see is a white van pulling up to the house next to mine, I see a sold sign stood in an upright position in front of this house. Could this be my new neighbour?
This is the day, my first day at a new school. The day my life will hopefully change for good. Swiftly i walk down my creaky wooden stairs, when I reach the bottom I place my bag by the muddy shoe rack at the front door. "Ready for school" said my mum cheerfully. I walk over to the table, and sit down taking my phone out of my trouser pocket and place it on the table. "I guess so" I said, as my mum places a bowl of cereal in front of me. With one hand I start eating my cereal and with the other I pick my phone up, I press the on button to check if I have any messages. There are none.
I finish eating my cereal, I get up slowly and walk to the front door, I pick my bag back up and wave goodbye to my mum. Before I leave I kiss my finger and place it onto the black and white photo of my dad when he was younger. A tear sheds from my eye, I wipe it off and swing my bag over my shoulder.
Anxiously I open the front door, step outside then close the door behind me, before I step any further I brush the blonde dog hairs off of my legs, then pull up my trousers and run my fingers through my hair. I wanted to make a good first impression for my first day. I carry on my root to school.
