Prologue.

Waking up in the morning is always a taught subject. Waking up in the morning knowing that school waits for you literally in the corner is a whole different situation.

The first day of every new school year has always been interesting for me. For example when I was eight some random kid decided that spitting his gum on me because he somehow got an allergic reaction and started coughing like a mad man, or kid anyways, would be appropriate. I know, I know it wasn't exactly his fault but it wasn't mine as well that I started crying when mom had to cut my hair because of it.  Or there is that other time when I first went into high school. A girl named Megan decided to give me a bath with her cherry flavored milkshake. First of all why all bad stories has to have a glee theme incident in them? Megan I'm talking to you yes.

Anyway moving on... This year was different from all the above. This was my last year in high school. I was clearly excited that the hell hole situation was finally over, however I would much rather be sleeping than trading the comfort of my bed for the beggining of the end. Correct, I do not like school.

My lack of enthusiasm comes from the people at school to begin with. Except from me and my friends, who even them sometimes get on my nerves, there's this aura in the air telling me that I'm going to come face to face with all that people I most likely dislike. Obnoxious people, who are mostly after project popularity, sex addicts that bang each others bones in every available place, even though the janitors closet seems to be their five stars hotel and of course my beloved boyfriend, who is like February 30th. You got that right, he most certainly doesn't exist.

Being honest however my biggest problem are the classes, the teachers and the homework. People who seem to have not a clue about what is really like being a student, teaching a million and a half things none of which I or any other creature in that building is going to remember after graduation.

Having all of the above combined it's more than understandable why I am not fond of the place. Adding to all that the fact that I am not the one who expects an invitation to the biggest party of the year and of course the chances of me being the prom queen are paltries, isn't really helping me change my opinion about the place or the people there. Would I want to throw massive parties on school nights and having late night adventures? Of course, who doesn't after all? But I have come to accept that this is something that happens only in movies and teen fiction novels.

Getting into the car I was ready to deal with the living hell I call school, same old people same old routine.

"Honey"

"Yes dad?" I forgot to mention that I didn't even have my car licenses so I was somehow depended on my dad to drive me in the mornings. Well it was that or me walking two blocks at seven forty in the morning. Quite the dilemma right?

"What is it now?" he pressured

"Oh nothing. Trust me it's nothing" I told him somehow relaxing him.

"If you say so.." He gave me a small smile

"Okay, thanks for the ride" I gave him a kiss on the cheek and got ready to leave the car

"By the way today you're babysiting Cody."

"I know dad. See you tonight."

"Have a good first day baby girl."

And then it started. My first thought was to find April.

April is, as most of you can imagine, my childhood best friend. I know her since practically forever. Our fathers work at the same company and we sort of became inseparable.

She is the exact opposite of me. She is very outgoing and the levels of confidence she has are way to high for her own good. She doesn't care for what other people think about her and peaking in mind I don't really know why she has stuck with me. Though we have a lot in common, we still are the definition of opposition.

"Rachel! Over here." Ah there she is, shouting in the middle of the school's yard, waving her hands in the air like there's no tomorrow.

"Hey April!" I smiled approaching her

"Ready for our last year in high school?" She asked me with that bright smile of hers, her face pretty much full of excitement!

"I guess so."

"Oh! Come on. We are seniors. You NEED to be excited." she said emphasising the word 'need'

I gave her a giggle a bit, and she grabed my hand dragging me to our first class!

That was the prologue! I hope you liked it. Please let me know what you think!
