I asked my mom if I could take a mental health day. She said sure but I had to fake being sick to do so. She called the school and told them I was sick and she would be there to pick up my school work. I watched the clock as my mom left, waiting for her to come back with my school work and a tub of ice cream. I saw a car pull into the driveway, who wasn't my mom. I started to get scared and ran to the kitchen where they couldn't see me. Someone knocked on the door and I covered my mouth. They left after about 5 minutes. I opened the door to see what they did. The words 'DIE FURRY' were spray painted in bright red paint all over the side of our house. I quickly grabbed a hose and washed it off before it could dry. My mom pulled into the driveway an hour later and called the cops. I said I never looked at the door but we had security footage. It was the Anti-furry Alliance. They were supposed to be in school, so was I. The police officer asked what their names were and went to the school. The students were immediately expelled for vandalism and discrimination. The best day of my life. But that was only one of them. There were still many kids that were part of the AFA.

After the cop left I decided to go to school. Apparently the word got around fast that I expelled 2 kids. The entire school was wondering what happened, bugging to find out what "I" did. I talked to the only person who would trust me, Amanda. I calmly walked through the halls, searching for her. I barely saw her over the human support beams she hangs out with. She saw me and told me to meet her next to the bathroom then called me a punk to make it sound like a fight.

At lunch I met her next to the bathroom she told me what rumors she had heard then asked what really happened. I explained everything from the AFA to the mental health day I decided to take. She knew I wasn't lying, she trusts me, I trust her.

Lit comp was a complete disaster. We talked about the "incident" the entire class. I laid many rumors to rest about what happened at my house and in the principal's office. One kid told me to "go back to the doghouse" when I was talking in front of the class. I looked at the teacher, but he wasn't paying attention. I ran out of the room crying, searching for a safe place to be. I hid in the bathroom, wishing people would stop being mean to me. Then I heard a voice, a dark scary voice I seemed to put my trust in. the voice was telling me there was only one option to end the pain, one option to stop everything, to end it all.
