AUTHORS NOTE: THIS IS A TASTER OF THE STORY THE FOLLOWING CHAPTERS WILL BE LILYS POV.
"Daaad" The girl with dark bouncy hair called, looking frantically around for her father. "Dad" She repeated this time sighing in the typical teenage manner. Her hair was in a messy bun as she always did when she was making potions. Potions was her favourite subject at her old school Beauxbatons, where it was also considered a 'nerdy' passtime but nether-the-less she spent her summer pottering about with her cauldron making both practical potions for cuts and wounds and more difficult ones that she kept in a display case in her room.
"Lily?" Remus asked, panting slightly, as he just ran down 2 flights of stairs to get to Lily. "What happened?" He seemed concerned, so she settled him down with a gentle smile which quickly turned into a broad one as Lily shook a small vile in his face. "Is that-"
"Yes. I've done it. I've mastered the wolfsbane potion, you don't have to go to Snape anymore Dad! This is the most complicated potion I've ever made. Isn't it brilliant?" She practically screamed. For a second, Lily considered how geeky that had sounded but it was pushed out of his mind by Lupin hugging her tightly.
"That's brilliant!" He answered in the same excited tone that she did, Remus delicately lifted up the vile to the light and examined it. The silver liquid gleamed as he remembered how nervous he had been when he told his girl about being a werewolf. The last thing he expected was that Lily would be helping him 4 years later, by brewing the newest potion there was for his kind. "Could you brew more for when we're at Hogwarts?" Remus asked.
"I've already sorted that out, the head said I could have an afternoon a week to brew some for you." Lily explained, still smiling. She was so looking forward to her years at Hogwarts. They were leaving in a week and she had already packed, leaving space for her books that they were going to buy tommorow. The small black and white cat, who she called Lena but her real name was Helena, was crawling around her legs nearly tripping her up a number of times until she picked her up.
"Yes.. By the way, I have a meeting with Dumbledore tommorow, so I've arranged for you to go to another wizarding family" He dissapointed her, but she continued smiling and just nodded. "Good. Now go to bed, you've been up hours making that potion" Lily quicly ran into her bedroom which was a sky blue colour and had a desk with a cauldon and all her books on at the side and her big fluffy bed on the other. She changed into her PJ's which consisted of shorts and a tank top that she found from a drawer somewhere. Lily was soon settled in her bed with the book 'The tales of Beedle the Bard' next to her lamp. It always comforted her, she drifted off remembering the times when Lupin used to read it too her.
