Chapter 20: Training for the Storm

As Torres and Rose train for what is to come, Gregory and Mary spent their time digging further into who all are involve with the Renaldi's. Relax Rose, analyze your opponent, their strength, their weakness, the way they move can determine how to bring them down. Taking a deep breath, Rose close her eyes and nodded, then she looks up at Torres and says lets begin. Fighting was not really Rose style, but she had to learn or else they would get to her because she is the weakest link.

After hours of training, Rose lays on the sofa exhausted. Hearing someone walk close to her, she opens her eyes only to find Blair staring at her. What is wrong with you? Why are you looking at me like that? Rose asks. Sitting down next to Rose, Blair closes her eyes, then says, I feel like not all of us is going to make it out alive and if we do, I have a feeling, somehow we are going to be taken down by the CIA or whoever.

Sitting up, Rose smiles at Blair before she stands up and makes her way in front of where Blair is sitting and grabs her hands. Listen to me, I will find a way to protect the people I care about, including you. I know that the deck doesn't look like it is shuffled on our side but it can be if we choose the right cards and play the game right. Why are you acting like this is poker Rose, removing her hands out of Rose's hands, Blair stands up and walks to the window. Am sorry but this doesn't feel like a game, this is real, the lies, the danger, the betrayal, its all real. Every time I want to walk away, I have to remember, my father lost his life and D' Angelo is waking around pretending to all high and mighty because he is living a double life.

When Rose is about to answer, a shot rings through the air making Blair eyes widen. Mary runs into the room screaming for them to hurry and gather their things to leave, they were being attack. I do not understand! How did they know where we were? Rose panic then turns to look at Blair only to realize she is not behind her. Blair she shouts and is meant with a groan of pain, looking around she sees Blair on the stairs holding her side. Oh my goodness, how did you get shoot, you are right behind me?

Blair points her finger at the door behind her causing Blair to look at what she is trying to show her. Looking she sees Torres room ajar and shouting is coming from there, so she decides to grab Blair who yelps in pain and slowly make her way to the front door where she sees Gregory coming back with a gun in his hand. Whispering, she tells Gregory to give her the gun and get Blair to a Hospital to be treated. Doing as she says, Gregory lift Blair up and slides the gun into Rose hand then whispers to her be careful, I do not see Mary nor Torres around, I believe they are still inside.

Slowly walking to the door, she holds up the gun and listens to the conversation that is happening in the room. How could you lie to my face, you are no better than the man you work for, she hears Mary say. A wicked laugh resonates through the room, its a pity you weren't as smart enough to figure out that I was not the agent you look up to and for you Torres, it's a shame that you are still alive, it would have been easy for you to leave Fiona behind and try to stay hidden, but no, no, no, you had to help her.

Of course, I had to help her, Renaldi knew that she did not have the abortion and when he showed up at the Hospital, he discovered that the baby was a girl, he had so many plans for Rose. He talk about his son who was already a teenager at the time, taking her just born daughter hands in marriage. Oh, do not forget, Vladimir who became attach to Rose when she saved his son's life, you people where praying upon a girl who is innocent in every aspect of life.

Smirking, D' Angelo turn his back to Torres then says, and here we are now, Rose will be brought back to Italy to meet the Renaldi's and Vladimir. As for you two, well, you will meet the end of your life cycle at this point. Taking his gun out he turn around and points it to Torres, any last words from any of you. Yes, who killed Fiona? asks Torres and D'Angelo responds telling him it was him who knock the car over the bridge but it was a young Vladimir who cut the brakes because we all know she loved to speed, especially how she was trying to make it to her daughter award ceremony.

Now that, that's all clear up, goodbye Torres and a shot rings through the air making him drop. Torres! Mary screams and a few more shots rings but when Torres open his eyes, he realize that the bullet did not hurt him.  Patting himself, he sits up and look around the room where he spots Torres lying in a pool of his own blood. How? he asks and Rose answers by telling him that she was listening and heard him confess to killing her mother, so she shot him to stop him from killing the only two that can help her bring down the others.

Helping him off the floor, all three of them walk out the house to the car Gregory left for them, where to now, asks Mary. D'Angelo is dead, we are going to look for the others and head to Italy to complete what we started, Torres replies. Looking at Rose, Mary walks up to her and holds onto her shoulder, are you alright? you seem out of it? I know you are shock about the revelation of your mothers death and possibly how you shot and kill a person for the first time.

Turning her head in Mary's direction  fast, she knocks Mary hand off her shoulder then yells, you are making him seem like he was a good person, that what I did is affecting me by making me feel like a horrible person. I kill my mother's Killer, does it make me feel better? No, does it bring her back, does it look like she is dropping from heaven to come back to me? No because I do not see her here. Tears starts to fall from her eyes as she continues her rant saying, yes it did change me but the only thing I am feeling right now is relief, because he cannot harm anyone. Now, that, that's settle, I have a request to make to the both of you! Will you teach me how to fight and use weapons, such as guns, knife, etcetera? I want to know, no correction, I need to know.

Agreeing to help Rose, Mary and Torres train Mary for weeks, teaching her every strenuous skill they know. After her recovery Blair join in on the training, but hers is lightweight because she is still healing. Gregory went out on his own to do his own Investigation and that lead him to discover something he never expected, looking at the computer he says, it can't be. Putting his face in his hands, he look back and the screen and says in a shock tone, Blair's father is alive and he is working for the Renaldi's.
