I wasn't even four hours into my shift when we were packed with people asking about after Christmas sales. Who knew so many people would ask about wreathes and trees for next year. As I was ringing people up Mike was in the back helping customers lift boxes. As I finally took a breath I ran over to the closed sign and put it up so I could go on break.

"Hey I only work till six tonight. I got a date with Haley". Mike said.

I gave him a groan as he chuckled and walked out. Great now I was stuck with closing again. I hated that. It was always scary. I grabbed my coat and decided to go to the small café down the street to get lunch. My grandma said she had made Mike and myself lunches but I couldn't eat left overs again. I kept giving mine to Harry for him to take to work and he gladly accepted each time. As I walked into the warm café I walked over to the table in the back and waited.

"Can I help you"? A lady asked me. 

Her brown hair was in a messy bun and her brown eyes sparkled. I swear up and down I had seen her before and I think it was when I was in the shop, She came in with some guy.

"Yes can I just have a chocolate chip muffin and a coffee". I ordered.

"Coming right up". She smiled.

After she left I pulled out my phone to text Harry back. He's been texting almost everyday this week and it was just about stupid shit. Like I really didn't care what kind of holes formed in his jeans or what fruits he got at the shop.

Once the waiter came back she stopped and smiled setting my food and coffee on the table.

"I'm sorry to bug you, but do I know you"? She asked playing with her pen.

"I was just about to ask the same thing. I work in the floral shop on third street. I think you came in once". I said taking a sip of my coffee.

"Yes! I was there with my boyfriend Louis. We went and got his grandma a wreath". She smiled.

Before the conversation got any further the bell of the door made us turn our heads to see Harry and some tall guy.

"Louis what are you doing here"? The girl asked walking up to him.

"I came for some delicious lunch and to see my beautiful girl". Louis said.

"Kate". Harry smirked.

"Harry". I chimed back picking at my muffin.

"Kate, this is the girl. Well my bad love, I'm Louis. Nice to meet you". He said.

I smiled and cheered my mug and took a sip and Harry slid in the booth with me.

"I get off at seven. We should all go do something. Kate are you old enough to drink"? Eleanor asked.

I took a glance at Harry then back to the beautiful Brunette.

"Twenty three so yeah". I giggled.

"Oh yes I have the perfect place. I shall see you all at seven". She said giving Louis a peck and Harry a pat on the shoulder.

Once she walked off Louis sat across from Harry and I.

"Sorry she's just a hyper person". He said picking up the menu.

"No issue she's adorable". I smiled.

"So does that mean we all have plans then because I don't want to be the one to tell Eleanor no". Harry smiled and Louis nodded.

"Kate I'm sorry but you have plans with us tonight". Louis smiled standing up.

Once he walked off Harry still sat there and just kept staring at me. I felt uneasy and I have no idea why. I mean I let him touch me for crying out loud.

"I guess ill see you later on". He smirked and squeezed my thigh. I felt my face heat up and I was left by myself.

Once my break was over I walked back over to the shop and continued my shift. I mean five hours would go by quick right? Well I was completely wrong. It took forever. When Mike walked back in with a blonde I questioned him in my head. If I even do it out loud he would be the asshole of the brother he is and complain.

"Ill just pick it up later once I get off work". He said handing her the laptop.

"Thanks, I mean its only one paper. I could just come back and give it to you". The bubbly blonde replied.

"Nonsense, Oh Kate this is Haley". Mike said switching the sign on the door to open.

"Nice to meet you". I smiled.

The look she gave me wasn't a pleasant one. It was more of a disgusted look. What was her issue?

"Okay ill see you when I get off". He said giving her a small peck on the lips.

She walked out of the shop without looking at me and I brought my attention to Mike. He was cutting the flowers off the old vine and placing the new one up.

"I feel you staring at me. Now stop". He scoffed.

He knew I was going to go all sister on him and tell him how much of a mistake he was doing but we both know it wasn't going to change anything.

"Let it go and leave it alone". He said taking his boxes and moving to the back of the store. 

I shook my head and continued to decorate the flower pots and tried to finish my shift without getting irritated.

Once I got home I had to quickly go and change for the night with Harry and his friends. I mean I know I never really go out and socialize but for some odd reason I felt calm. Wow I know. I grabbed the dark purple knee length dress out of my closet and my black heels. I decided to go with a natural curl and just apply some makeup. Again I never went out like this. 

My outfit would have to do for the night. I grabbed perfume and sprayed a little before walking downstairs. My mom and dad were sitting there watching the television and my grandma was in the kitchen.

"Woah where are you going"? My dad asked.

Do I tell him with Harry?

"Um out with some girl I met". I somewhat lied. I started doing that recently.

"What girl, what's her name"? My dad asked.

My grandma walked into the room and smiled.

"Oh calm down Mark, Its my girlfriends daughter Eleanor. She's smart and not like others. You have nothing to worry about". She said.

How did my Grandma know about Eleanor?

"Oh okay then. You have your pepper spray"? My dad asked.

I shook my head and rolled my eyes as the doorbell rang. My dad walked in front of me to get it before I did. This is when I wished Harry wouldn't be the one behind the door. There stood Eleanor in a similar dress but red and red heels. Her hair was straight and her makeup was done perfectly.

"Ready to go babe"? She asked once her eyes met mine.

I nodded and gave my dad a kiss on the cheek before walking off and getting in her car. About halfway down the road the backseat was brought to life when Harry and Louis got out from under the blanket.

"Took you long enough. I was dying". Louis said. "Were gonna have to switch seats. I seen Kates legs in that dress. If I thought it was hot then Harry is burning up back here then". He added.

I felt my face get warm again for the second time today.

"Ill try to calm down". Harry mumbled as his arms wrapped around the passenger seat and around my upper body. His hands were so warm and inviting. He gave me a light squeeze before letting go and sitting back in the seat.

Both him and Louis lit up a cigarette and I watched the toxic smoke fill the enclosed car.

"Guys remember my rule, windows down". Eleanor said covering her nose.

"Sorry". They both said and put the windows down. 

Next stop party time.
