Before we get into Webber's actual job, I'm going to start from the start of it.  As you know, Webber really lived in a small town, and had a different name. But if you don't want to hear his past story with all these details, I suggest you skip this merry little part.

Now where are we? Ah, yes..

-THE PAST-

William was a happy little figure. For all the dangerous things he crawled his way into, he didn't really see the true danger of it all. You could say he almost flawlessly made his way through all his acts, with hardly a drop of sweat. And that's what made him pretty well known. Also for the fact he was friendly, and wouldn't deny a cuddle in the world. But the one he really liked to show his friendly-ness to was a fellow named Abe. At the time, Abe wasn't very happy. He had quite a wonderful singing voice, but had sung less as the days went on. He only had William around him, and William only had Abe.  They were the best of friends. William would try to cheer Abe up, but it wouldn't really work for long, and he could never find a reason why Abe was so sad. At nights, he could hear him even crying at rare times. But alas, William couldn't really do anything to help him.  He just kept doing his acts to earn his fair share of money, as always.

A few days later, William was a bit nervous. He had a big act to do, a tight wire one. He was slightly scared of heights, so it would be a pretty hard act. He knew the danger this time, he'd FEEL the fear this time. It took weeks to even be convinced he should do it. To make him feel better, Abe promised he'd set up the act this time. He promised it would be safe.

On the day of the act, everything seemed okay so far. The place didn't have many houses around it. It seemed empty. Well, aside from the crowd that was gathered. Abe was there for once too.

"This act must REALLY be special."  William thought. This was one of the first times in a while that Abe had actually watched an act. But something was off about him. Abe looked nervous. Way too nervous.

"Is everything okay?"  William asked. He only got a quick nod from Abe in response.

William knew Abe wouldn't lie. Not after all the years they knew each other.

Well, the only thing that could be done was to start it..

The whole act was going well, William had surprisingly good balance. At the middle his eyes widened. He froze. He felt something on his shoulder. It stung. He tried to turn to see what it was, but he lost his balance, and it was too late to save him. When he hit the ground, he wasn't fully dead. And whatever caused the sting before, it was worse. The burn, the sting, it was everywhere. He couldn't see right. He panicked. He didn't notice the bites on him, the blood. Spiders. The only thing he noticed was Abe, running off.

And then,

Darkness.
