The subsequent days was filled with juggling between school and hospital.
Gifts, calls and a whole lot was received from a whole lot of people and I couldn't be more grateful.Just today, my grandma was moved to the ward and was recovering. She could even sit by herself and started to take some heavy food.
Our days was filled with me telling her about everything and anything I could imagine. I didn't want her to feel lonely. I knew how clingy my grandma could be. Most especially, when she left the house all alone.
Sometimes, we were all alone and sometimes to the whole crew came in all at once.
Sometimes she was left all alone since I had school to.
I had an evening lecture today. So my whole day was filled with me helping my grandma to adjust into her new room.
It was a beautiful one. Filled with fresh flowers and coloured with pink and white touches here and there.
Her bed come with an extra soft mattress which was brought in by Kamal.I poured some goat light soup into a bowl and helped her to eat.
It wasn't long after and it was time for me to leave I hugged grandma tenderly and gave her a lingering peck on her forehead before leaving.

Days turned to weeks and weeks to months and it was already time for grandma to be discharged. As the days rolled by so did we become closer.I dreaded the day I was going to wave her goodbye at the airport. I dreaded being left alone for Hanna to had only a couple of months to wrap up with school. I become very solemn and was always thinking of how I was going to fare all alone in this country.
Fine, I had already became accustomed to my surroundings and knew the in and out of the city.
I grew closer to Mr. Hakeem's family and the love I received was unconditional well, except of course from his sister and his mother's friend who was always around and always pocked her nose into people's affairs. Also, Kamal was also there. He was always a phone call away. And always made sure I was very comfortable. Except well, he was hardly around physically .!
But, every journey, decision, discovery and virtually every new experience I witnessed it with Hanna and it really saddened me dearly that she wasn't going to be present.
All the same I couldn't tie all my love ones to my neck expecting them to be with me all the time. I also have to learn to be on my own .
Presently, Hanna and I sat with grandma and helped her pack her clothes and medicines into her bag.
She had a flight to catch back to Ghana tomorrow and we promised her shopping this evening.Once we were done, we waited eagerly for Kamal to bring the discharge paper and off we go away from here.
The plan was that after being discharged, we checked grandma in a hotel room leave her things and proceed to shop before finally dropping her off at the hotel for some sleep.
I stood up to stretch myself obviously tired from the way I was sitting but was only bumped by a hard figure which entered the room without asking for permission.
I stared into his brown eyes my hot gaze staring up and down at his sizzling appearance and forgetting to withdraw my self from his strong hold. We stood like that for what seemed like seconds only to be yanked away from him arms.
It was Mr Hakeem Jaara and his mom stood behind us oblivious of what had transpired earlier on.
