I turned around in my seat and saw two tall boys facing me. Twins. I instantly knew who they were, Max and Harvey. I could recognise them from a mile away. The boys I'd loved for 2 years now, looking right back at me. Well, half of the duo was looking at me. Harvey was the person who tapped my shoulder, smiling at me with his wide eyes, a tilted head and an unforgettable smirk, but Max was distancing himself from me. His hands were in his trouser pockets and he was staring at the floor, tapping his feet as if he was agitated with the fact Harvey was talking to me. I studied him for a minute, because this wasn't the Max Mills I saw on Instagram. He was different, more reserved. His face was hiding underneath his black beanie, which was pushing some of his hair down into a fringe on his forehead. It was cute, he looked... vulnerable. "So...can you help us?" I diverted my eyes back to Harvey, who was waiting for my answer, and smiled. "Yeah, you need to go to reception, do you want me to take you there?" Harvey turned to max and gave him a reassuring look, which instantly made max look up and say with a quivering voice "y-yes please." Harvey gave him a thumbs up which made max smile, fix his beanie and look back down at the floor. There was something about him that made me want to know more, I felt like he was hiding something from me and everyone who followed them on their musical journey, but I couldn't figure out what it was.
"I'm Harvey by the way, Harvey Mills. And that's Max, my twin brother. He doesn't really talk much, as you would have noticed." Harvey was talking about his brother as if he wasn't right next to him, which he was. Max looked up catching my eye, and I felt a rush of feelings flood through my bloodstream. I stood up and grabbed my backpack, ignoring what I just felt, and led them to reception. "I know who you are, your music is amazing by the way. I'm Leah, Leah Johnson." We carried on talking as we reached reception, which wasn't open for another 15 minutes. "Well I guess you'll just have to wait with us then" Harvey said confidently, with a smile on his face. Harvey was a nice guy, someone I wanted to be friends with, but there was something about Max that made me feel something entirely different, something I'd never felt before. He had me chained to his mysterious personality and left me there, meaning I had to figure out why he was different by myself, and I was going to learn more about him, what ever it took.
