Chapter 3

Lapis POV

Peridots dad grabbed me by the hair and tackled me to the ground. Blaze, Peridots wolf, was trying to find a way in to save Peridot.

Peridots dad picked me up and threw me inside the house. He ran out the room and came back in with ropes in his hands. He ran toward me before I could move. Then he proceeded to tie me.

"She is not here, but since you attacked me why dont I torture you." He said. I knew he was lieing, but the plan was already set. There is a hatch right out side the house, covered in grass and leafs. Blaze is finding away to get inside. Now I know what your saying "Wolfs cant open up hatches" But trust me that wolf is really intelligent, he always finds away to beat the system.

But unfortunate for me , I have no way out. My wrists started to burn and the rope around my neck felt like it was getting tighter every second. Her dad went over to a counter that had a box and other things on it. He opened the box and took out a bottle and pins.

He opened the bottle and dumped some pins in. Then he walked toward me. "This will only sting, alot." He put his hand on my arm and was about to put the pin in me. BOOM!! Peridots dad and me turned our heads and saw  Peridot in the hallway, Blaze right beside her.

"Let. Her. Go. Now!!" She yelled. "Ugh!! Why do you always have to ruin my life you runt!!" Peridots dad yelled. "You made me, and you ruined it for yourself!" She yelled back. She put her hand to her back and pulled out a gun. "NOW!!" She yelled once more. "Fine, you win..." He backed up to the counter and said. "A ticket to hell." He pulled a knife from the counter and threw it at her. It stabed into the gun, making Peridot drop it. Peridots dad took another knife and ran towards her. They ran off out of sight. Blaze came over and started riping the rope off.

All the ropes came off and I immediately ran toward the kitchen and started to find some type of weapon. I opened a cabinet with loaded guns inside. I grabbed a desert eagle and ran to the direction of where the two ran off to.

"Why dont you just die!" Came from the room down the hall. Bang, Crash!! The sound of glass and gun shots pierced the air. I made it to the door and opened it. Peridots dad was holding a gun, facing Peridot. She was holding a frying pan, deflecting the bullets. 'Wonder where she got that?'

I lifted my arm, pointing the gun at Peridots Dad. "Drop the gun!" I commanded. He turned to me and back to Peridot and sighed angrily.

"This is not the last time you will see me." He gritted and pointed the gun to the lights and shot one. The sound of running and a hatch opening filled the dark room. Peridot shown a flashlight in the room, her dad no where to be seen.

"Lets get out of here."

"Are you all--" Peridot placed her lips on mine before I could finish. I missed this so bad, I missed her so bad.

"Im always all right when I'm with you." She said and hugged me. Minutes passed, and the police officers started to arrive. They came to us and asked what had happened. Peridot and I told them what her dad did and what I came to do. After that they investigated the place and me and Peridot were free to go.

We got into the car, Blaze in the back and me and Peridot up front. We went over to Stevens house to see if we could borrow their barn, Peridots and my house were unsafe to stay in. Steven said yes and had explained that he and his dad had remodeled the place. We went over and looked around. There was the big space in the middle, as usual, but on the right upstairs side had a bedroom with a bathroom next to it, a bridge was made to reach acroos to  the left upper side. There was a kitchen and a tv space there. Blaze had a patch of hay by a corner of the barn. We changed into the clothes Steven had gave us. We walked into the room and fell asleep on the bed. Nothing can be any better than this.
