That night, it was pouring rain and Lee was at home by her self. She was curled up in her room under a blanket watching Dead Poets Society. About 15 minutes into her movie, she began to hear tapping. She opened the door and walked downstairs and saw nothing, she shrugged it off and went back upstairs. Right as she got back in her room, she heard the noise again. This time she could tell where it was coming from. "The fuck." Lee said slowly walking to her window. She looked down from the second story window to see a soaking wet Finn. She opened the window and looked down at the boy.
"What the hell are you doing. It's pouring. And you're supposed to be on your way to Canada right about now." "Lee, I," Finn said whipping his dripping hair out from in front of his face, "Lee. I'm not on my way home because I just couldn't leave without telling you that I love you. I have never stopped loving you The day you broke up with me was the saddest day of my life and I kept replaying what I did in my head and I always new I was the bad guy. I hated myself for making you leave me because you were the best thing that had ever happened to me. One night I reached my breaking point and I was gonna start cutting myself. Luckily, Nick came downstairs and saw me before I could cause any damage. He told e that if I was this heartbroken, that I must really love you a lot. And that is why I came when you were in the hospital the first time and why I have been keeping up with you every since. Everything I have done recently is because I love you so much Lee. And I know that a cheesy speech about love is like something out of a romcom but I just couldn't leave with out telling you because last time you passed out. So that's all I have to say."
Lee was in shock. She could not believe what had happened to her but she did know one thing. And she knew what she was gonna do. "Stay there she called." She bolted down the stairs and walked outside in her pjs, messy bun, and no shoes. She ran around to the side of there house where Finn was and ran up, grabbed his face in her hands and kissed him. He kissed her back and it was the best kiss of their lives. It was the kind of kiss you see in movies when the 2 people meant for each other kiss for the first time. They were unaware of anyone else on in the universe, to them it was only them in the world. For that small moment, Lee was the happiest she had been for a long time.
It was a flash of lighting and the crack of thunder that pulled them away. "We should go inside." Lee said. "Yeah. Wouldn't want to catch a cold or anything." Lee gave him a light shove, "You are so awkward." They slowly walked back into the house holding hands and smiling.
