The song for this chapter is "Her Life" by Two Feet
two.

The rest of the day is per- usual, nothing really happened, I mean except the fact that my math teacher chewed me out for skipping his class twice last week. Maybe if he knew how to align his desk where people aren't shoulder to shoulder and keep the air at 80 then maybe I would attend his class but that's not the case here.

The bell rings from last hour and I quickly get out of my seat and make my way to the parking lot. I've never been so ready to get out of here. I take out my keys from my backpack and start the car. Of course there's traffic and the students at my school don't know how to drive whatsoever in my opinion. My road rage kicks in when someone cuts me off while I'm trying to merge lanes.

"FUCKING PRICK" I yell and honk my horn.

I look to my right at the car stopped next to me due to the long line of traffic. There's a guy who looks at me with a surprised look and I'm guessing his girlfriend who is in the passenger is looking at me with the same expression. I honestly couldn't care less so I turn my radio up and lean back against my seat.

I make my way home finally. I would usually go up to my internship after school at bright stone publishing where I edit finished articles to be published. It's kind of a big job to give to a seventeen year old but I'm not complaining whatsoever.

I grab my backpack from my car and use my key to open the door and it gets jammed in somehow so I start hitting the door until it finally gives in. After I get inside, I grab a granola bar from the pantry. I'm not that hungry but I didn't eat lunch today so I probably should eat something. I go to my mother's room, she's been sick with a cold that seems to be developing into the flu. I gently tap on her sleeping body to wake her up.

"mom" nothing.

"momma come on, wake up. How are you feeling?" Her eyes flutter open and moves her body over to see me.

"Hey honey, how was your day?" She says yawning.

"Per usual. How are you feeling?" I ask.

"My head hurts alot worse. I'm going to call Dr. Haun later today and make an appointment." I still dont understand why she won't just let me drive her to the urgent care that's down the street but this is my mom, she will go through any pain to get to the best help.

"I'll just do it right now." I make my way to the night stand beside her bed and grab her phone.

"okay honey, the number is in my contacts." She tells me drifting off to sleep.

"Alright mom. Rest for the rest of the day. Tell me if you need anything." I grab her phone and make my way into the kitchen. I open my phone and the first thing that pops up is her messages. I debate whether or not to just text Dr. Haun. I mean it wouldn't be that odd since she's treated my mom since she was a kid and has known my family for years. I decide against it and go to call her instead. The call immediately goes to an answering machine for the office. As i'm put on hold after dialing the numbers for Dr. Haun. I put the phone on speaker phone so I can eat my granola bar and answer the messages on my own phone. I see a text from Stiles saying that he will be home late as usual. I also have a text from a random number.

"You're a stupid bitch."

I laugh at the unknown message. It's funny how people spend their time to find my number just to tell me shit I hear on the daily. I block their number and go to my other messages. There's one from Harley telling me that she won't be at school on monday because she is going out of town. Good timing Harley. Then I go to my last text which is from Kimberly.
