Chapter 10: Invisible Scars

Y/N'S POV

"Of... all people..." Ed muttered, looking at me with a defeated frown.

He then glanced up at the muscle mass standing proudly beside him.

"YOU HAD TO CHOOSE HIM?!"

Al and I exchanged an amused glance.

"Seriously!" Edward added. "You had to put my poor brother in a crate?!"

He glared at the tall Major Armstong who was mostly ignoring his rant and discussing with Lieutenant-Colonel Hughes before Ed called him out.

Luckily, the loud noises around the Central train station were enough to cover Ed's loud protests. However, that didn't stop passersby to peer at us with either confused or annoyed faces. Al and I had to pologize sheepishly here and there.

Upon being called out by the blonde midget, Major Armstrong paused his conversation with the Lieutenant-Colonel and looked down at Ed.

"Is there a problem, Edward Elric..?" He questionned genuinely. I really doubt he payed any attention to a single word Edward was saying.

Ed realized this and rolled his amber eyes. "...Nevermind."

Armstrong shrugged and reverted his attention to me. I would've been confused if I hadn't seen nostalgic tears that were already streaming down his muscular face.

Oh no... Here it comes...

"OHHH Y/N ELRIC!!!" He exclaimed before he captured me with his abnormally muscular arms. I cursed unde my beath, regretting that I hadn't run away when I could.

I could faintly hear the other three laughing over the gibberish the Major was spouting.

Or is it poetry?

With his voice, it's always hard to tell.

I felt and heard my shoulder and my back pop under the constricting pressure of his strong grip.

It was like he was mistaking me for a glowstick.

"I WILL MISS YOU VERY MUCH!!! HOW BRAVE OF YOU TO SEPARATE FROM THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE FOR A WHOLE WEEK SO HE CAN GET HIS AUTOMAIL REPAIRED!!!"

That's what I could make out as he started rubbing his large and over built chest on my short figure.

What the heck is this man talking about?!

"Get..." I started before running out of air. He was squeezing my ribcage so much I couldn't breathe properly.

"OFF OF ME!!" I yelled, pushing him away. He lost balance and fell to the floor loudly, only attracting more attention from the crowd.

Ed, Al and Hughes looked down at the major and gulped in fear. I was too caught up to even care about the weird stares.

"And why the hell are you calling me y/n Elric?!! Ed and I aren't married!!!"

Major Armstrong and Lieutenant-Colonel Hughes looked at each other silently a moment before both laughing.

What's so funny? Is there a joke I didn't get?

I turned to Edward for enlightenment but he stared bac at me confusedly and shrugged.

*CHOOOO CHOOOO*

The blonde boy turned towards the train coming our way.

"Well," He turned back to face me and Hughes. He had a sincere smile but his eyebrows were curved into a sorry frown. Like he was trying to apologize for going away.
