Chapter 1

Life is sometimes like a ferris wheel at first. You feel like the earth is swallowing you because of problems in life pero kalaunan ay nagiging maganda na ang tanawin ng buhay mo at para ayaw mo ng bumaba and it feels like you are up above with the free and beautiful sky but minsan kailangan nating bumaba para makita natin that life is not always rainbows and sunshine. That a challenge and a person can surely make you realize the true meaning of happiness.

" Lav , anak lumabas ka na. We are really getting late for school . "
Sabi ni mom na nasa labas ng kwarto na nagpupumilit na palabasin ako dahil kanina pa akong tumitinigin sa kisame ng kwarto ko looking at the beautiful chandelier and handmade paintings of architectures like the La sagrada familia ng Barcelona and the Eiffel tower sa Paris at mga iba pa.

I was so amazed by it na kahit 10 na taon na ang nakalilipas ng lumipat kami sa bahay na ito. At it has been 10 years since my biological parents left me. Oo. Adoptive mom ko si Myta Del Rosario. Nakita daw ako ni mom na palaboy-laboy sa kalsada na walang ibang dala kung hindi isang teddy bear na bigay sa akin ng isang bata. I was seven years old back then pero ni isang memory ng parents ko ang aking na aalala. Tanging birthday at first name ko lang ang natatandaan ko.

Kumatok si mom sa room ko at binuksan ito.

"Lav , malalate tayo sa first day of school mo. Naligo ka naba?" Tinanong ako ni mom with her sweet voice.

"Yes mom. I just did a few minutes ago."
I replied to her.

She sometimes annoys me but , what can I do? I love her.

"Well , what are we waiting for?
Unless..."
Na pa titig ako kay mom.

"Unless?"

" natatakot ka ba sa magiging first school mo?"

Well there you go! She got me. Because that was really the reason why I didn't wanna go out ng room ko.

homeschooled kasi ako .

Hindi kasi ako nakikihalobilo noong bata pa ako. Siguro dahil baka sa ngyari sa akin. But slowly getting out from my shell.

"Mom , hindi  yun mawawala . Alam kong lahat ng mga bagong estudyante na lilipat sa bago school nila ay natatakot o hindi kaya nahihiya. At isa na po ako doon." I smiled at her.

"Well hindi dapat ka matakot Lav. Dahil alam kong marami kang magiging friends doon. You have your cousins and friends na nakilala mo sa party ko yesterday."

45th birthday kasi ni mom kahapon that's why nakilala ko ang iba kong pinsan.

I rolled my eyes.

"Mom , i barely even talked to them . I know for sure they will only come to me for projects and stuff. Kagaya ng ginawa nila kahapon , ginawa nila akong calculator. Dahil sinabi mo na magaling ako sa mathematics." I got up.

Talagang na annoyed nila ako! Those girls. Yes. GIRLS. Really needed to know there place sometimes. Yet , I can't get mad at them.

I think that's just me.

"Ayaw mo nun?! Your lucky you have a mom like me who supports you!" She chuckled and while her eyes sparkled.

Mommy Myta is single. Kaya hindi ko alam paano niya nakaya na buhayin ako ng magisa. Her family owns a school. And thats where I'm going to study.

"Yeah. I'm lucky to have a mom like you na kahit hindi mo ako kadugo, you still loved me as your own daughter." I smiled .

"Hay nako! Halika na. late na ata tayo!!"

I chuckled.

"Mom, Hindi naman ikaw ang papasok sa school!" Sumigaw ako ng kaunti at tuluyan ng lumabas si mom ng kwarto ko at nagbihis na ako.

Pagdating ko sa kitchen handa na ang baon ko na sabi na mom na dapat ko itong daladala dahil na sa loob din daw dito ang vitamins na kailangan ko.

Mom got inside first in the car. Sumunod agad ako at looked at the outside view of our house.

I will surely miss staying all day inside there. But everyday has a new challenge kaya , kakayanin ko ' to!!

After 30 mins. Nakarating na kami sa Campus...

Sa labas pa lang ng gate , the Name of the school is put in bold letters....
