Chapter one
I always knew I didn't belong, I guess it all started the day my parents found me. You see my parents aren't actually my real parents, they found me on the beach when I was a infant. They told me at a young age about how they found me. My name is Lacey Harrison, and I'm 14 years old "Lace, c'mon!"my mom shouted. Half asleep I yelled back, "coming mom!" I checked the time 7:15 before running straight down the stairs, right into my dad. "Whoops, sorry dad!" I quickly apologized as he tried to clean the coffee off his shirt. "Aw Lacey! Not again!" I apologized again before going to look for my mom. "MOM? MOOOM?" I yelled out the back door. " Right here hun." She said from behind me. "Oh my god!" I screamed and literally jumped a foot in the air. My mom started to laugh at me. "Not funny mom, but I just wanted to tell you that I'm meeting Rachel and we're going for a swim. Okay?"
"Alright have fun!" she called after me as I ran back upstairs to put on my bathing suit and text Rachel. I search through my contacts until I find my best friend Rachel Aldington. " Hey Rachel grab your suit and meet me at the beach in 5" I hit send. Less than a minute after I sent it Rachel's reply comes"okay" "Mom, I'm going now!" I tell her I go. "Don't stay too long you have to work today, the wedding decorations arrived." She reminded me. My parents are the owners and operators of Harrison's Inn. Being their daughter I work there and help plan all the large events. " I won't" I reassure her. I walk out the back door and grab my bike. I love riding my old fashioned bicycle around the town. My parents and I live in a really small town in P.E. I. it's so small you probably couldn't locate it on a map. Heck I've lived here 14 years and I still can't. I rode to the beach with wind blowing my hair everywhere. Shoot I hadn't brought a hair elastic, maybe Rachel will have one. I arrive at the beach to see Rachel arrive on her Moped. Man, my best friend is so cool! I can see her light brown ponytail peeking out from under the helmet. She parks the Moped and takes off her helmet, her blue-green eyes are sparkling as she runs to hug me. I run at her and we embrace each other in a hug. I'm an only child so Rachel is like my sister. Rachel and I take off our cover-ups and run into the water.
