p.s I LOVE ONE DIRECTION.

A velvet Rose. One small flower which has changed my life forever.

I’m Sophie Emerson, I am 18 years old, have blonde wavy hair, blue aqua eyes and I am an average height. I’m quite a shy girl, not popular but not unpopular, just in the middle, how I like it. I live in the city of London in the UK and have a house just outside the city which is surrounded by green soft meadows and tall thick trees. This story I am about to tell you is about how one blonde Irish boy, one rose, a miracle coincidence and how love has changed my life, forever.

**************

I fluttered open my tired eyes, looking out my window, I saw that the sky was a light sea blue, and the sun was playing hide and seek with the clouds. I got out of my bed and stretched my light long legs into some soft slippers, put on a grey hoodie and tied my long thick hair in a bun. It was Saturday, the weekend, finally. Saturday was my favourite day of the week. The only day I could do what I love instead of work. Busking on the streets of London is what I live for, why I even live.

The strong smell of bacon creped under my door and filled my room, the sweet smell making me want to drool. I could hear the sizzling sound and the humming of my mum in the kitchen. It was strange for Mum to be cooking. She never cooked, it was always microwave food or Chinese takeaway.

My Dad was my inspiration, my hope, my life. Mum says he looked so much like me, which only brings back the memory of him whenever she sees me. He had the same clear crystal blue eyes, blonde golden hair and wide white smile as me.

Your thinking why he was my inspiration? Well, he died from a terrible car crash. He was seriously injured and put onto a monitor to try and save his life. I stayed days and weeks in the hospital, sitting beside him, and spending every last second I had with him. I just sang to him, songs he had thought to me and just hoping he would hear my voice and flutter open his eyes. Every night I would wake up screaming or crying, scared of what was going to happen to him. What if he never woke up? And that’s what exactly happened, he never did wake up.

 *Flashback*

The morning before the accident.

I grabbed my Math homework from my bag and raced down the hall, my shoes making a loud tapping sound as I entered the kitchen. Dad was munching away on his toast while mum was pouring herself some tea. I sat at the table and pulled over my cereal, and poured some milk into my bowl.

"Morning Champ." Dad smiled at me. "Morning." I replied stuffing my face with cereal after seeing the time written the clock.

"I need to tell you something, and I think now is a good time." He said and looked concerned and came closer to me, holding my hands, he always had a soft touch. But what was the matter? He never acted like this.

He pulled out a gold chain from his pocket from his black coat. What was it?

” Keep this is in memory of me, because whenever you have this, you know I am never too far away, and that I always love you.” Dad said sweetly and placed it around my small head. He pulled some hair away from my face. His blue big eyes were staring into mine, as he held my hands tightly and kissed my cheek. “Thanks Dad, I love you, but why are you giving me this now?” I said wrapping my arms around his shoulders.
