Chapter 26
August 4th
The last week of the holidays flew by for Tasha, Nicole, Isabella and Adam. Tasha was the day when Tasha would be starting semester two of university and she was nervous. She didn't really know why she was nervous because she passed her exams and she didn't have anything to worry about. Granted, her exams didn't get passed with flying colours, but she still passed and she was glad there were no fail marks anywhere.
To distract herself from this, Tasha remembered the interesting conversation with had with Amy about Nicole and Riley. She had managed to convince Amy to cool it with Riley, but she had also found that Riley had picked up his bad habit again. Tasha wasn't very happy about that and she wondered how Nicole felt.
And Tasha also found out another very interesting piece of information.
Mr Wilson used to smoke.
That was hilarious.
Tasha needed to find out more about this.
And she needed to have some breakfast, so now was a good time to bug Mr Wilson about it.
Tasha went down and made herself some breakfast and then she joined Mr Wilson at the table.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
"I'm just worried about Amy," replied Mr Wilson.
"Why?"
"This is her last semester of uni."
"So?"
"And she's pregnant. I don't want the stress to get to her."
"Well, I hate to say it, but maybe you two should have thought about it before you done the deed."
Surprisingly, Mr Wilson didn't yell at her. He actually laughed, "yes," he said, "we probably should have."
"So, what are you going to do? You can't spend the entire semester worrying about her."
"I know I can't."
"She'll be fine, anyway," said Tasha, "she's my sister. My big sister. She's strong."
Mr Wilson smiled, "yeah, she is."
With that over, it was time for a subject change, "so, I found out something about you."
"Found out what?" replied Mr Wilson.
"You used to smoke."
"Who told you?"
"Amy."
"Well, yes. Is that something you have to bug me about?"
"Yes."
"Thought so."
"So, did you quit?"
"Obviously."
"Why?"
Mr Wilson seemed evasive now, "I had my reasons."
"Were they good ones?" asked Tasha.
"Yes, they were."
"Well, I am glad you don't do it anymore."
"Me too. Don't you ever start it up."
"I won't."
"Good."
When that conversation was over, Tasha got back to finishing her breakfast and when she was done, she got herself ready for the day. She never thought that she would be nervous about starting university when she had already done it, but here she was and she was going to get through it.
