Thursday continued

Brianna’s POV:

Once we got back to my car, we packed all the bags into the trunk and headed to Ruby Tuesday. I don’t know what it is about guys and this restaurant but this is the second time I’m coming here.

When we got there, it was quite but that’s not a shocker since its noon. That means that the guys and girls should be on break. I pulled out my phone and called Jay:

Me: “Hey, you guys on break yet?”

Jay: “Yeah, why?”

Me: “Where you going for lunch?”

Jay: “We haven’t decided.”

Me: “Ok good. Come to Ruby Tuesday. There’s nobody here and I want to introduce you to another friend of mine.” Jay was a little hesitant but when he pulled away from the phone, I heard him tell everybody that they were going to Ruby Tuesday for lunch. I don’t think anybody minded because I didn’t hear any complains.

Jay: “Ok, we’re leaving now. We’ll be there in five. Don’t order anything.”

When I was done talking to Jay, I looked up to see that the guys were already seated. So I quickly talked to the hostess and if we could push some tables together since we had a large group coming in. She seemed hesitant and told me to wait a minute. I did as told and when she came back, there was another man with her. “Ok, so what’s your request?” He asked in a sweet, calm tone. “I was wondering if we could move a couple tables together. I have ten friends coming in and then there’s me and the two of them.” I said while pointing to Cameron and Marcus. “So, you just need more space for you and your friends?” I nodded. He seemed happy to oblige because then he ordered two other employees to push four tables together and set them. “Thank you. This means a lot.” I said that to the man, who turned out to be the restaurant manager, before walking over to Marcus and Cameron.

Cameron and Marcus were staring at me with confused looks, so I began to explain what was going on. Marcus looked more than happy to eat lunch with everybody but Cameron seemed a little taken back. “Hey, don’t worry. My friends don’t bite. They’re really nice and I think you’ll love them.” Cameron nodded and the three of us headed towards our extended table. “Hey, I’m gonna wait here for them. Ok?” They nodded and headed to the table. It wasn’t long before I felt two arms wrap around my waist. I knew who it was but I decided to play with him. “Hey, Jay. What’s going on?” He turned me around so that I was facing him. “Jay, huh?” Nathan said with furrowed eyebrows. “Nah, I knew it was you. I was just messing with you.” I pecked his lips and then led him and the others to the table.

Jill’s POV:

I know I seem like a bitch because of the whole Brianna thing but that’s not the case. I like Nathan but I thought that maybe if I pursued him then he would feel the same way. Unfortunately for me, that wasn’t the case. He seems drawn to Brianna and I see why. She’s really sweet and talented. I feel really bad for what I did in the bathroom but at the moment, I thought it was the right thing to do. And afterwards I thought that my actions were excusable. But when I saw the look in her eyes this morning when she walked into Nathan’s room, that’s when I realized that they both really care about each other. Her eyes kept replaying in my mind because they had this sadness in them and at that moment, I felt my heart drop. That was the moment I realized that Nathan isn’t for me. I know that Nathan running after her should have been a telltale sign but the thing that showed me how much they care for each other  was when I overheard them this morning talking about her and her family. That showed me that she feels comfortable enough to trust him. They seem happy together and I don’t wanna be the cause of them not getting together. From this day forward, I will help them get together and I will try and find someone that I can call my own.
