The next morning, Kyo pops out of nowhere saying, “Good morning, my princess. Did the knights you forced to be jesters amuse you yesterday?”

“Yep, that was great. Are you feeling okay about that?”

“It’s fine… just... please never mention it again... please.”

“No problem, so what’s for breakfast?”

“You know the usual, like always. Where’s the other guy. Why do you even bother to ask?”

“I don’t know. And Ryoma was gone ever since I woke up.”

“Well, at least we’re… you know… alone.”

Kyo pulled my head to his shoulder and put his arm around me. He pulled me close, and I closed my eyes and smiled, enjoying the moment that would’ve been easy to have, but there was another guy on the island now. I decided not to think about Ryoma right now, and just enjoy the moment with Kyo.

I always loved seeing Kyo blush, because to me, it looked so adorable. It’s one of my favorite things that I try to see whenever I have the opportunity. I slid a bit closer, and he started to blush a bit, so I put my hand on his leg, and he looked down and then away. I thought it was so cute. I always loved to see him like that.

Around lunch, Ryoma still wasn’t back. I thought he went to the hot spring earlier, but he’s been gone for too long to just go to the hot spring. I thought maybe he went to the beach or something, so I didn’t worry. Around dinner, he still wasn’t back. I knew something was wrong, so I went to look for him. Kyo came along to help, so that made me feel a little more comfortable.

We searched the island for Ryoma, but couldn’t seem to find him. I realized that usually, all the weird and interesting events happen at the star spot, and not just in my dreams. I ran to the spot for stargazing, and I saw Ryoma. He was unconscious and his legs were bending in ways legs shouldn't bend.

I held him up, but he was out cold. I tried to slap him a little to see if that would help, but it made no difference. I asked Kyo to carry him back to the shelter, and he did it for me. I would’ve done it myself, but Ryoma was too heavy for me.

When we got back to the shelter, I bandaged his legs and other injuries. Kyo ran down to the stream to get some cold water for Ryoma’s bruises. I wondered what had happened to him, and why was he outside in the first place. Still, his face seemed... it seemed so peaceful. I didn’t know how it was possible for someone to go through that much pain and still look so peaceful. I thought I would kiss his forehead. I mean it wouldn’t hurt. Plus, Kyo wasn’t here, and Ryoma was out cold.

I started to lean in, watching the door for Kyo. I just rushed it and gave him a quick peck and was done with it. I felt a little good, and Kyo still wasn’t back, so I just put Ryoma’s head on my lap and stroked his head.

Kyo came back about fifteen minutes later. He had a couple buckets of water. I wet a cloth and tended to Ryoma’s bruises. Finally, after about a couple hours, Ryoma finally woke up.
