Nasir woke up to the sound of thunder clashing and immediately reached for Anaya, only to find the bed space empty. His heart gave a sickening lurch as he stood up, already knowing somehow that she has left. He couldn't decide if he was angry or relieved, the emotions she wrung from him were too intense and sincerely, he wasn't sure how to handle it.

What do you do with a woman who looks at you so  trustingly with big brown melting eyes?
What do you do when she brings all your possessive instincts to the forefront and lays you bare?
How do you express feelings you never knew existed for someone like you and it takes a mere slip of a girl, just one touch from her to make you undone? Someone you were meeting for the first time? A stranger.

Just thinking about her made his heart ache and he rubbed at it distractedly as he sat up. Images of hours before danced through his mind and he could feel himself getting aroused again.

"Son of a bitch" he swore as his feet touched the cold ground. A flash of white paper caught his eyes and he eagerly reached for it.

"Thanks for the best night of my life and sorry for leaving this way. It's for the best. Anaya"

The writing was slanted and very feminine and he wished she was here so he could tell her how much of a mistake her leaving was.
For the first time, he realised he didn't have her phone number, he didn't know where she lived and let out a new string of curses.

"Why didn't she leave her phone number or something?"  He muttered, still looking at the note and absently rubbing at his heart again.

The shrill sound of his phone ringing jolted him from his wool gathering. The name 'Ali' flashed on the caller Id and he picked without hesitation

"Ali?" He knew something was wrong for Ali to call him when he knew he left the club with someone.

"Nasir, you have to come immediately to the warehouse. It's on fire and the bloody paparazzi are swarming the entire area!"

Everything in him stilled.
"What do you mean there is a fire Ali? What the fuck happened?"

His voice was as cold as ice, his hand gripping the phone was pale at the knuckles while the other was fisted so tightly, his nails bit into the his flesh and left prints.

"Fucking Zainab happened man! She called the paparazzi drunk as a sailor, claiming to be your abandoned wife and threatened to kill herself. I need you to get here right now before I kill her with my hands"

The anger from Ali's voice was strong and Nasir was feeling the same way, only more. Much more.

"Where the fuck is she Ali? Tell me where she is!"

"She is in the ambulance. They are checking if she is okay. I hope she isn't so they can lock her up in the psych ward for good."

"I am on my way. And Ali, don't let her talk to the paps! No matter what you have to do, don't let her say shit!

"I have got you man. Just hurry up. The bouncers are here with me but it isn't doing much to stop the camera madness"

Picking up his Jean trouser he paused as he saw Anaya's ripped gown on the floor. He picked it up, put it on his bed and picked a random shirt from the wardrobe and walked out.
