New Faces

After a couple of weeks. Nayeon completely adjusted to her new school life and environment. She goes home in the weekend and spent the entire weekdays at school. She is now in harmony with her alarm clock and Sana has been also very helpful to her all the while.

She also met new people aside from Sana and Jimin. She now know Dahyun from her PE class with Sana, and Chaeyoung from her biology class.

Everything was alright except her subjects which she still have difficulties in catching up. She always sleep at midnight trying to review today's lessons but to little avail. Her first exams are a week later and she barely understands half of the total lesson which stressed Nayeon even more.

"Nabong, I'll see you later at PE alright?" Sana shouted from the living room.

"Ne." Nayeon heard the door closed.

She was now trying to have a breakfast before going to Literature. Nayeon had a story summary due today and she really pulled an all-nighter just to finish it - or until she was satisfied with what she did. Sana gave her pointers on what to do and how to summarize such text. It sounds so good in theory but actually doing it is a whole different story.

Nayeon also found out how Sana is advanced in Academics. Sana explains things to her in such a way that Nayeon understands but the moment there's a new problem or question coming out, Nayeon's brain would again freeze, to which Sana always laughs.

The phone vibrated on the table but Nayeon was brushing her teeth so she let the call died.

Nayeon, I'm already outside.

Nayeon read the text and pulled her bag inside their bag cabinet and picked her belongings on the table before going out. When she was outside the gates, she already saw Jimin waving at her.

"Good morning."

"Yeah, morning." Nayeon said in between breaths.

"Let me help you." Jimin grabbed the books in Nayeons arms.

"No need." Nayeon tried holding on to it but Jimin was stronger.

"It's heavy. Let me." Jimin said.

Not that it mean anything or what but Jimin is almost always like this since they met. Jimin lives in the 3rd lane of the dorms since he belonged to the student council and the debate varsity team. Jimin said that he doesn't have much friends since he's 'a little bit nerdy' for 'their taste'. Since Nayeon can completely relate, she decided to accept Jimin's friendship. The guy was nice after all.

"You did the summary?" Jimin asked Nayeon when they settled inside their classroom.

"Yeah I did. Don't be surprised but I really pulled an all nighter for that. God, I hope it'll have good grades." Nayeon confessed.

Jimin nodded and their literature class went on with Nayeon almost always falling asleep and Jimin making sure she won't.

The class ended with them submitting their summary. Nayeon was on her way to her Math when Jimin went with her since he'll be going to the school cafeteria for lunch and Nayeon's classroom is on the way.

They part ways at the Architecture building and Nayeon walked to her classroom readying herself for another bloody Math lesson. When she reached the door, she noticed a post saying they won't be having classes for the week and use the spare time for studying instead.

Ugh, thank God. Nayeon muttered.

She contemplated texting Sana to grab lunch with her but then she remembered Jimin's whereabouts so she went to the cafeteria instead.
